  5. I did a 6 week block of TAFE in March/April this year (Cert III In Automotive Electrical Technology).. most of the auto electrical course modules start with "AURE" From memory there are like 24 modules and you do 6 modules each block.. (Meant to be a 4 year course). For the RPL through TAFE you would have had to have already completed a module or the equivalent before, Don't think other people can sign you off for it as you have to have sat a test.. I can get you a list of the modules tomorrow if you want, My TAFE book is at work because I'm getting my first year modules signed off..
  6. RPL isn't usually a problem as long as you haven't done courses through the likes of MTAQ.. All the material you need is provided by the TAFE you attend as part of the fee..
  7. Yeah, Check your engine gound wires first..
  8. step 1. Purchase and/or connect your volt meter. what is the voltage before and during crank? a battery can also be fully charged and have weak battery acid, purchase a hydrometer and check the battery acid's acidity/specific gravity. Check with your volt meter what the voltage is from the ground side of the battery to the main battery post on the starter motor. check voltage drop across the positive and ground sides of your main cables. lots more tests you can do but they are the basics..
