  1. Possible but why go backwards?
  2. Put it in the same spot the old oil pressure switch would have been.. If you want to run both the switch and sender you will have to get a T piece..
  3. Will keep my eye out for it..
  4. If that doesn't fix it good chance that the trip meter has been buggered by someone pressing it while driving, May need to find another cluster or get your one repaired.
  5. Why not use an alternator from a 4K KE70?
  6. The other half of todays story, At lunch I decided to order myself a new starter motor as the one on the car has been roughly slapped together and doesn't always sound the best when starting up. Ordered a new one though Ashdown Ingrams and should be there tomorrow morning for me to pick up. Anyway, Got out to the car this afternoon and my starter has given up the ghost. (Mabey its jealous I have a new reduction starter coming to replace it?) Have to pimp it in the work race laser till tomorrow..
  7. Got some more goodies in the mail the other day via Ken at Infinite Autosports (From Yahoo Auctions Japan).
  8. Have a good long look at your points and make sure when you crank it over they are opening and closing, possibly fit a new set if your current ones are old..
  9. Looks like a pinball game, Crazy stuff..
  10. As far as I am aware, Most stuff can normally run below 12v, Its when you get below 9 that you start having issues.. You can have a battery that reads 12v but the acid can still be pretty gay, Volt meter is not the best way to test a battery's condition, Hydrometer will tell you how well the battery is charged. To test it properly in theory you have to take the surface charge off the battery by loading it up to half the CCA rating of the battery for like 20 seconds and check it doesn't fall below 9V..
  11. Sure the battery had 12v at the time?, Could possibly have been a lower voltage..
  12. Cam should be there sometime soon, It's in transit :S (Just for other peoples reference, Tighe Cams charge $110 for a grind on a K motor cam..)
  13. Wow, Thats crazy stuff, Will be nuts to see it going..
  14. Cool, Pix or banhammer :bash:
  15. They work off resistance, Should be able to put a bride wire between the 2 pins on the sender wire and see the fuel level climb slowly till it says its full. That will show you that the gauge is fine and it is the sender that has issues..
  16. Yes, Circuit Open Relay controls the fuel pump and can be found beside the ECU..
  17. Any more info on the specific car you are wiring it to? What make/model? Usually you wire it up to your park light circuit so when you turn your park lights on it will illuminate the tacho..
  18. We have got the security defunked on a few commodore ECUs though some mob in melbourne I think for race cars we do at work..
  19. The Ring Gear and Pinion to be more precise..
  20. clacking sounds like the battery has low voltage, Hope you are not measuring the voltage at the battery before you try and crank it over. What voltage does it drop to when you are trying to key it over? To really test a battery you need to check its acidity with a hydrometer and load test it once at full charge.. Other possibility is that the starter was damaged when the bolts came out, Could have smegged the drive and it is hanging in mesh causing the motor to not want to spin...
  21. Don't worry, Deleted the other group..
  22. already is a facebook group.. *deleted*
  23. Hill starts are actually a very good way to learn your clutch coordination...
  24. looks very nice, rims suit it very well!
  25. Could be something aircon related.. (A/C Clutch Perhaps?)
