Can get a picture of mine if you want, The coil does not "ground" as such, when it breaks from ground is when you get the field collapse in the primary inducing a high voltage in the secondary coil windings.
Should have ignition switched 12v going to the positive side of the coil,
the 2 leads from the dizzy going to either side of the coil
and the black lead to coming off the negative side is usually a tacho signal wire..
and yes, that coil looks similar to mine so i think it may be right..
