+ve side of your ignition coil, or any other wire inside the cabin that comes live when you turn your ignition switch on.. It is probably Tee'd in somewhere already, I don't think removing the external regulator will effect it..

Turn Signal (Flasher Can) is just picking up Ignition switched 12v.. Easy as piss to change over to an internally regulated unit. Internally regulated alternators just use the L wire (Lamp) on the D+ terminal on the alternator..

Well finally managed to find a weekend to dig out my 5K from up the back shed, It has been sitting there for numerous years now... Also raped the pushrods out of the A12 motor we had sitting there for my solid lifter conversion. Found the rings were rusted in the bores and it wouldn't turn over at first. Let the bores soak with some Inox and kept hammering the crank back and forward till she gave in. Managed to pull it down a bit and got it on the engine stand and gave it a good degreasing too..

Well if you have hazzards and no indicators then the problem will lie in the hazzard switch..

Do your hazzard lights still work? Also sounds like your fan speed resistor has blown one speed, Its located in the blower box (thats what keeps it cool)..

Tried another cooling fan relay, Current one may be stuffed? You said you have already replaced the sender..
