Yes i can't wait to turn it up this year, bizzare because i have a potential 8 sec car there but instead i am enjoying tinkering with a maybe 12 sec car, been thinking lately why i have a 50-60k investment in the shed unused and a i drive a $250 3 cyl suzuki everyday, this is what the new 20 will fix :lolcry:

Would be a good skill to master, also panel beaters must have hard core arm muscles, mine get tired after about 5 minutes of sanding haha, i'd take the spray painter side, let everyone else do the hard work and you get the cream job of just laying on the colour.

Oh thanks KE20SR for sending me dash etc all packaged nicely. Had to push my corollas out of the shed to clean up a bit on the weekend, had a vid cam sitting there so video'd the 2JZ ke20 warming up, hadn't been started in 4 weeks or so had to clean up the plugs to get it to start, will need to sort the tune a bit i think, hard to get a good idle with 6 x 1600cc injectors :hmm:

mwahah can't do 2am slogs anymore, kids get me up at 5-5.30am every morning, i turned in a 10:58pm not 1:58am :hmm: slogging it as i need to have this thing out of the shed by weekend, got another car coming in and my daily is out of reg, i am sure am only days away from the wooop woooop red and blues behind me haha

Looking good man, a mate showed me that por15 stuff the other day, painted the top of a 9 inch with a brush and it flattened out awesome, then tried to chip id with a screw driver, bloody strong stuff! :hmm:

I'm an ugly mofo so lucky for her :hmm: Donk is back in, and its got gears now :no2: will do some detailing once i sort the wiring. New dash pad is on and boot seal in, only need to re-sika one spot :( stupid flash shows up every bit of dust, its covered in it again :wink:

nah its not cleared or anything just gave it a quick sand clean down and paint. The bits you will see i will buff up a bit.

Is it crack free? yeah since these pics i put a black suede cover on the rear in an attempt to match the front cobra buckets, looks ok but would be better with an original seat.

Gave the bay a quick paint, should look a bit neater in there now when all the gear is back in

Checked this beast out on the weekend, will be a cool little jigger when complete, also was another bloke there with a 13bt ke20 in the build. Definately quite a few being ressurected lately, KE2x cruise coming up soon i think :)

overrated 25 :) need some more pics of the new 20, your 25 looks to have some pink in the colour too? a friend of mine owns a ke20 in an almost candy red, colour definately suits the shape

Yeah it shines up easy, down to 2000 and you can still see little scratches in the fluro light but out in the sun it looks cool :) then again my old showy KE10 used to look scratchy under fluro light. When that bonnet shut the catch must of been to far to the passenger side and the release cable can't pull the lever far enough away for it to let go, should be able to get up there with a screw driver and lever it across, if you have to break the grill out i got a few spares and will give you one.

I suck at the gun work and don't have a booth, so i use acrylic paint, i can make up for my lack of skills in bulk sanding and buffing :P

Cheers any time you are in brissy welcome to come over for a beer / chat etc. Engine is out, gearbox is fixed, i cut the existing loom in 2 places, there will be alot of wiring gone by the time i am finished :P back to the shed to start on engine bay prep.

nah i will give myself another week, if the engine is coming out i need to prep and paint bay, re do some brake lines, detail engine, hide wiring etc, i am also considering pulling the AC out of my suzuki and modding it to all fit in the ke20
