:monkey:! Not the death of *another* engine!?
-
Sorry man, didn't realise it had been posted up, just was speaking on MSN to a bloke about it, and it bloody amazed me :) Maybe we should try this with Commo's and see how far they get :monkey:
-
First thing that comes to mind is: Get f@$ked! Watch as they try and break an old Toyota Hilux! Hiluxes Really are Unbreakable
-
That sounds pretty good, I just realised after the other discussion that we had, that I had a Jap drum-to-drum diff housing sitting there :P: lol. I thought your diff was a 4.3, but oh well, i'm still pretty interested in it :monkey: I'll send out your sticker tomorrow :) Catchas Dan.

Theres more and more of these V8 KE30s popping up every day!! Probably because the bogans that do it are computer illiterate ( :monkey: jj) i'd do it anyday :)
-
*Dan cries in corner* Too true, i don't know how grammer/grammar slipped past me, f@$k. See kiddies, be a smart arse and look what you cop in return :monkey: Also crying over Year 12 hatred.. thanks people, not lookign forward to it now :)

HOLY MACORONI!!!!!!!!! I love it :) I would marry/f@$k this car, haha, it looks pretty sweet, almost like its got no springs :monkey:
-
f@$k that, that is bullshit! Karma will get back to him, what a c***
-
Shit, didn't know that... how come? Paid 3,800 for a Nova in similar condition about a year ago, you got a good score (G)
-
BHG - Blown head gasket... sad, isn't it. Keyboard warriors come up with more slang each and every minute. Not good to hear about the out of square news man. Not very good at all.
-
Don't you mean grammer, diction and expression? :monkey:
-
Got two days suspension from school today, for fighting. Lucky me. Not. I can't wait till Year 12 :) Everyone gives me great impressions of what it will be like :monkey:

What Felix said. I don't think its worth more than having 800 odd bucks invested in it (panel wise). Thats alot of rust for a coupe, generally. They don't tend to rust up so high in the quarter like the sedans, generally they rust lower down in the sills (a bit like yours). Has the car had a respray before? I think it might have had a dodgy spray over job over the rust, i'm sorry to say. Sure, theres potential for the car. If your attached to it, its a nice car, could use a bit of panel work, but hell, if its not sentimental, get another coupe to start off with, it will work out cheaper in the end. Dan says: Dodgy it up, bog and chicken wire, sell it to some unsuspecting fool, buy another one :P Have a nice day :S Dan.

Here, ladies and gentlemen, is proof that drugs really do harm your brain cells.
-
Eventful trip! Sounds like a bhg that you've got there... maybe... or simply a f@$ked radiator lol.
-
Yep, we do, but its simply a steel dash bent up to fit, will be a piece of piss. As small as it seems, I'm not looking forward to doing the wiring, I hate electrotrickery stuff. Thanks for the comments people, gave me the want to go out and work on the car all of a sudden :P
-
I don't know if this helps, but... i've heard of people lifting engines out by stacking wheels on each side of the car, with a strong piece of steel bar placed across the two wheels (over the engine bay), chaining the engine to the pole and slowly lifting it up side by side and placing another wheel under the pole as they go. Quite a headf@$k. I don't like the idea of dragging out the engine under the car, myself and a friend are pulling out the motor of a hyundai at school, it seems to be a MAJOR headf@$k. I really don't like the idea of it, seems really unstable.. Nice Nova by the way. Very clean, very clean indeed. Dan.

Yeah, Corolla GP turbo... I like these cars, they're so odd, they're so cool! E series motor? Please explain what an example is i've never heard of them before!! :P
-
If ya want to go along the ratings systems, then... I give it a 100% mark for the burnout, smoke, how close he came to the other cars and the fact its a corolla... Then being the bogan that I am, give it a 25% extra mark, a VB and a pack of winnie blues for it being powered by a Chev :P
-
G'day! Haha yeah... shame about the rust.. wish it wasn't there, would be a beastly little car otherwise. 3K is sitting on an engine stand in the shed, waiting for me to decide exactly what I want to do with it... Yeah, I still got all the glass out of the coupe, but couldn't find anyone that wanted it, so its waiting to be thrown away.. if anyone wants it, give me a holler. 800 bucks for the cage? Damn, thats a bit of money. I can get a second hand one right now for 150, or an brand spankers assembled one (not put in) for 600... About the diff centre, yeah, we can lock them, just welded... ain't got no funds for a 3.9 mate :S but if ya wanna throw one my way :P Anyway, this is what I did the other day; Before! After! Ran out of paint and havent had the chance to do the rest yet, but it will be done. Dan.

Just thought I'd better add this on before I go to bed... I'd like to thank all the people that have helped me out so far, in particular Xany and 2TGEU KE35, and all the people/members that have purchased parts off me, you've all contributed to me being able to do this, I've still gotta pay for my safety gear yet :P Thanks heaps, fellas..
-
Great idea!!! Gives me ideas... I had this idea to cut off the arse end of the car similar to that (without section of roof) as a sort of lockup tool box/bench seat for my work area... Man, DOWIT!
-
Yeah, was a bit random......
-
Well, I cut the roof off (already done), drop the cage in, tack it in, weld roof back on, and wa-la, one rollcage in the car. Its a race car, not a show car, but i'll clean up the welds well enough. Cheers for the heads-up about the Penetrol, where can I get it? Cheers Brad... Dan.
