  1. The oldschool ghetto drift look you're going for isn't worth injurying/killing anyone.
  2. We're only trying to be honest! :locked:
  3. We have rules about "text" speak on this forum. Generally EVERYONE frowns upon it. If you want REAL answers, spell properly. Most of the know-it-all's on here don't know how to understand text speak and you won't get any answers from them. Instead you will be ignored :n:
  4. Ahahaha.. I just want pictures of this thing when it is lowered 4 inches :locked: Good luck!
  5. Yes!!! We don't want them to know that we drive fords!!! :locked:
  6. 2nd'ed... Unless you've got some craaaaaaaaaaazy work done on your motor I call BS. If you've got same ratio diff as me, I'd say 75 in first gear and 95 in second. That would tear the absolute ASS out of a K40/K50 gearbox. You want to get a K(engine)-T(gearbox) bellhousing and convert your car to a T series gearbox. You can get the bellhousings shipped in from overseas for probably around $150-$300. Then get a T-50 gearbox for $100-$250.
  7. No! Totally different car my friend. You can MODIFY it to fit, but not a straight bolt in.
  8. See you there :locked:
  9. I think you should spend your money on renewing your engines lifespan. It must need some serious maintenance if a 5k can't rev past 6400rpm. Even though mine is worked a bit, I can take it to 8000rpm (when it's tuned properly :n:). It obviously doesn't like it because it's not tuned right, but it still does it! Otherwise yea, best things to get done: Exhaust, compression, cam. If you've got some cash left over a head job would be the way to go. You can pick them up on the corner of the street pretty easily. :locked: In all of that, you're probably going to want to do at minimum a rings and bearings job too.
  10. The plans for the car in question is 4A-GE. Do you think the standard diff will be up to the task of "spirited" off track use? To put it simply: I am looking at upgrading the diff because I will be running more power, but upgrading from a leaf setup while I am at it - IF POSSIBLE. Would there be a way to get a different, stronger leaf suspension diff that will closely "bolt in" to the KE30 floor pan? Your Rant is a very good argument! Thank you for your input, TheNOBBLER! :y:
  11. Thanks for the response guys. I am trying to compare floor pans with the KE30 2-door and 4-door against each other. If they were the same, I want to compare a KE30 2-door against a KE55 sedan. But WHY I want to compare them is because I thought the KE55 might have a different suspension setup than the crappy leaf-only suspension in KE30's. The reason behind it all is because I want to upgrade a KE30 2-door suspension in the rear end. I tried to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, but I should have asked the question "Do KE55 Sedan's have the same suspension as a KE30 or is it better?" before wanting to compare the floor pan. Onto my next question: What mods has anyone seen/done to a KE30 rear-end without spending crazy dollars or cutting out 90% of the floor. I basically want to convert it from leaf to something similar to KE70 or better.
  12. It was just a KE30 4 door sedan. A KE35 is the 2 door fastback coupe. I have a KE30 2 door sedan, which is technically a coupe, but doesn't sport the traditional "coupe" look. I'll put a photo up soon. :P
  13. Spotted a really clean, yellow KE30 today in Gungahlin market place.
  14. Hi everyone. I'm after a few undercar photo's of the following models for comparison. Specifically around the diff area. If you've got pics of it up on a hoist, that would be awesome! KE30- 2-door sedan KE30- 4-door sedan KE55- 4-door sedan Cheers, Seabiscuit.
  15. A respray?! It already looks amazing :y:
  16. Damn! That looks awesome mate. Love your way of making things look good. Amazing pick up on the dash fascia. We didn't get any sprinters with tacho's :y:
  17. Hot rims! Can't wait to see this on the Canberra cruises!
  18. 2 Door sedan gets my vote :y:
  19. To an extent. A 4A-GE is the only engine conversion that probably WON'T give you any major headaches. Oh, and T series engine. Once you start wanting to put anything else in, your mission becomes a lot more difficult. When people do an engine conversion on a K series Corolla, I'd say 90% of those are 4A-G(Z)E or T series engines. People are starting to make 4A > KE-Corolla conversion components! Besides. Toyota are coolest :)
  20. Drove down Crowther place in Curtin to see if the pink KE20 with 4AGE setup was still there. It's been moved into the driveway and looks like some work is being done to it, but right behind it was an absolutely overrated KE20 in willow green colour.
  21. Tarf! I agree that KE30 2-Door's are the best looking of the KE3x. Especially this one! I just bought one :( Gotta love that number plate too! Good luck with the motor :hmm:
  22. Hell yea! Great progress mate. :hmm: As for diff, you might be able to get away with some mazda gear. I was looking at a 4A-GE KE20 which had an RX3 (not 100% could be RX-something) LSD in it. Looked to fit quite well. I'm not sure if they shortened it or just chucked it straight in.
  23. WHYYYY? :hmm: My only day's off... Although I get a period off just before Christmas to just after new years Later :(
