It all depends on what it's worth to the buyer. By the sounds of it (and the small pic in your avatar), I'd give a rough stab at $3,200 to $4,000. That's just me though :)

Perhaps we should set the difficulty ratings as they are in games.. Novice, Private, Legendary, Heroic, Godlike, Suicidal just to name a few. Mick's FJ20 Rolla (on the homepage under top 5 nominee's for car of the year) is a KE30 which has a very similar engine layout to KE70.

Pretty sure it would fit, being only a 4cyl. It has a an "advanced" difficulty rating to fit into a KE70.. :) Good luck - search around the net and you'll find your answers because either none or very few of us have experience of fitting an FJ20 into a KE70 or any Corolla.

I think I saw this one on the parkway today. It was on the opposite side, couldn't tell if it was a flat front. I couldn't read the sticker on the back window, but it was about the same shape, size etc. as one of them. So I'm pretty sure it would have been one :)

Yep. Unless you can get the whole car cheaply, the EFI kit is probably gonna cost anywhere between $500 and $1000, obviously depending when, where and who you get it off. :D

I haven't looked specifically at this one, but in other countries they sometimes kept making (compared to Aus) earlier model Corolla's while in other countries they had moved on to the next model. In another thread a week or so back I read that KE20's were made in some European countries up until 1978 or thereabouts. So perhaps the KE30's in other countries that kept making them at a later date used plastic bumpers! :D I'm not saying that's a good thing. I'd prefer chrome bars too :jamie:

He could be intending to get it ready for a RWC/Rego for people. Lots of people make money by buying old cars and fixing them up to a "drivable" state and then sell them for more. This guy around the corner from me has a new car there every month for sale that looks like he's done up a little. Some even do it as an income. But if he is just buying it and selling it, that's no good :D

I'm not sure if AE92's have a fuse box in the engine bay, but if it does, have you checked them fuses? (Usually next to the battery) The same thing happened to me with my KE70, but only the blinkers and radio weren't working :D

Have you considered 2TG? Just as easy as 4age, but won't need to convert to carby.

I like your optimism, Matt! But unfortunately, you probably won't see more than 130rwkw without expensive mods like custom manifolds, NOS, etc. 130RWKW is pretty quick, though! That's about the same as the first of the WRX's. That would be a nice 5k to show off! Take care of Grimus, Matty! I hope you did more than I did to improve it :wink:

Not worth it. Locked stock diff would do the trick compared to an LSD. I'm not saying it's better, but for a KE20, a locked diff is probably the cheapest and WAY easiest option. Unless you're doing an engine upgrade, I don't see the need to even worry about the diff (that is if it's locked).

That's the way. I had 2 wrecking cars and 2 cars in my driveway at one time. Parents were never happy about it lol As for names... Ghetto Rolla, Paul Walker's Ride, Death Trap 101, The Brown Streak. lol I'm sure you can think of some better ones :wink:
