  1. Just because you are getting wider tyres, doesn't mean it will handle amazingly better. There is a sort of limit as to how wide you can go for how wide your rim is. 205 is probably a pretty good number. I wouldn't go much wider than that, otherwise you might start getting scrubbing issues.
  2. After the great turnout at Marques in the Park, I think it is in order for us to get something/s organised this summer where we can all hang out again. I've thought about a few things we could all do together: - Go Karts. - Day to the Bay: Batemans Bay cruise, fish 'n' chips on the beach and a photo shoot before we cruise on back to the 'Berra (my favourite idea) - Christmas/new years BBQ: could be done before or after Go Karts if we have the time of day. - Anything else fun and exhilarating!
  3. Great turnout guys! :)
  4. When I swapped a KE2x mounted engine into a KE70, I found that KE70 engine mounts were LONGER than KE2x mounts. So I would then assume that the KE70 ones are the only different ones compared to everything else (meaning KE1x, KE2x, KE3x and KE55 are all the same). I'm not 100% sure, but that's what my guess is.
  5. Spotted what I thought was Sammo driving around a few times in Southside. First time was on the parkway at night. It even had the faded bit above the rear quarter (I realised afterward that it was on the wrong side of the car). I just about ran the poor bloke off the road trying to wave him down as I thought it was Sam! Gosh, he even had the same style of spectacles, which was the only thing I could see shining off his dash lights. I was sure it was you, Sam!
  6. Nice work mate. Have the wheels been powdercoated yet or are they still painted? I think you should do them in a darker colour like a sparkly charcoal :y: or BRIGHT ORANGE!! :y: (Or sell them to me)
  7. Congrats, Sam! Pics :y:
  8. Yea the car is drivable. I do have a spare! :y: The rim still might hold air, but looks a bit crappy. I've got a nice set of steelies on the Blue car if I get desperate. Trim rings and centre caps too :y:
  9. Alrighty guys... I'm in desperate need of a spare 13x5.5 (or 13x6) hotwire rim as one of mine is dinged up and I'll be missing a shoe for Marques in the park if I don't get my hands on one before this weekend. Anyone know where I can get one that I could borrow or buy for cheap? Or a whole set of decent rims lol Vince
  10. Hahaha, totally. I couldn't quite make out what it said about Canberra.
  11. Wow, looks like he put as much work into that box as he did his car! Haha, hope you have a good trip, Ted!
  12. Mmm... I'd use the GZE pistons, shave the head and then source another head for when you are going turbo. That way you are able to pick and choose between an NA setup or boosted setup with the different heads.
  13. Have seen a couple for sale by: kram_p some time ago and also by Rolla_Boy (unsure of whether they are cable or hydro)
  14. I'll polish it the day before, it's still looking pretty clean as it is! You must know if the Tenner will be ready, Sammo, with only a week left!
  15. Sheesh, you've done everything right so far to turn it into a show car! It will be good to know in the back of your head that you'll have a VERY clean, straight, rust-free body for quite a long time to come if you do choose to go down that path! :) What options have you thought about for hotting up the 3K?
  16. - KE1x-KE2x - 1966 to 1984 - have 4x110mm PCD - KE3x-xE7x (incl AE86) - late 1974 to 1984 - have 4x114.3mm PCD - 1985 onward (Front-Wheel Drive) = 4x100mm PCD EDIT: .. and I think the newer ZZE models may be 5 stud.
  17. You're doing a great job, Sam! Can't wait to see THIS THING AT MARQUES IN THE PARK :S My ride will hopefully be lower by then!
  18. I love these Supra's too, Xany! In my opinion (apart from the huge eff off cannon) you beat Teddy  Take care of her!
  19. First of all.. drugs are bad.... 5k's are mega reliable. You can get plenty of power (probably between the range of 60-75kw at the wheels) with a worked N/A 5k and it makes it that much easier since you're not getting a conversion. However, if you want to do a conversion, 4A-GE is the way to go as it is super reliable, can produce more power, and is newer and easier to get new/aftermarket parts for as it is a performance engine. But it will cost you more
  20. Where are we meeting up, guys? We at least have to show up in formation!
  21. Because water isn't? :-S
  22. Judging by only looking at the first and last pages you've done an excellent job on the car mate! :)
  23. Same to Phillip!
  24. Will this be making Marques in the park, Sammo?!
  25. What sort of rims are they? I like your plans (the photo). It better look better :(
