  1. Name: Vince Car: The Red Car Motor & Driveline: Worked 5K, unkown stage 4 or 5 cam, 32/36 weber, ported head, DODGY solid lifter conversion, high compression. Lots of torque :( 4-Speed, now 5-speed. :) Suspension & Brakes: Stock at the moment. Have ordered lowered pedders springs, whiteline rear sway bar (will eventually get front). KYB Excel-G shocks in rear, the same going in the front when I get lowered springs. Strut brace about to go on after it's polished. Brakes stock Wheels & Tyres: 13x5.5 Hotwires WITH centre caps :) Looks respectable when polished. Interior: Stock with stereo in dash where old one went. Soon to be tacho dash! Body: Bog stock, but with a decent amount of small dents here and there :( Other: "custom" GT-Rolla badge ;)
  2. YES!
  3. Ahahaha. I just noticed that too
  4. I like it! The chrome strip (just below the boot and across the top of the tail lights)... Did you make that custom or where did you get it from? It's pretty  What colour candy paintjob? I reckon you should paint it black! Then it would look hot as :P  The only thing I have to agree with is to stop the txt talk. EDIT: Black with silver sparkles :y:
  5. I like the job you have done with the painting! If you want to lower your KE70, take KE70 to a suspension or mechanic shop and they can help you and tell you how.
  6. Paint obviously isn't showroom quality, but it's a big improvement on what it was before! Keep it up :P
  7. We're always hiring drivers at Domino's! If you're keen you should be able to start work pretty quick. Do you know which suburb you are moving to? If not, northside or southside?
  8. I was at the Drift Nats! Great show they put on there... All of the cars that were in the crash were repaired including the KE70 and honestly, you could only tell that they were in an accident if you looked REAL close! Apart from all of the kitted up cars having 100,000 cable ties holding up their body kits.
  9. Finally went around to the place to see if the guy was willing to sell it now that my yard is thinning in it's numbers. Popped up the bonnet when his old girl was there. Had lots of wiring coming out of the firewall, so had guessed that it had a different motor. Anyway, grabbed the number off of his Grandma and had a chat with him about it. Was setup to run a 4age. (currently has no motor) Has a LSD RX3 diff, T-50 box, already wired up to drop a 4age in. He wanted $1000 for it. Really considering it since ALL of the hard work is done. Would only need to add my touches to it (like respray over the pink!) and find a 4age.
  10. Well I rekon we should keep a look out for you and give you addresses (on PM of course) if you're keen to offer some money on them. I'm pretty sure I know where 1 lives.
  11. Shame, Sammo.. We're gonna have such a good time!
  12. Ooh.. Might be keen to come with you, Sammo! The week before I'll be working for my uncle at the Murrumbateman field days (which is pretty cool if you're into outdoorsy stuff) so I'll be loaded up and ready to spend :)
  13. Wednesday early morning, my driveway? :) I have all the required instruments to undertake the heart transplant! You can meet my new Sky Blue Car too! :)
  14. V8's are only good at burnouts and dragging. That's all there is at Summernats lol. If there were more track events (on Tarmac) I'm sure more import cars would turn up as that is what they are best at.
  15. And I'll come along to Marques in the park for sure!
  16. You missed out on the topless girls! Ahahaha :) Burnouts :D Horsepower Heroes :D Go-Whoa  Sound Off  Topless Girls! :) You can't say that Summernats is crap. It's the best car show that I've ever been to by far.
  17. Hey KENut, Yea, I'll sell it. I can't guarantee it will be too much good anymore, though. It's been under cover, but in the open air for quite a few months now. I'm sure with (quite) a few turns of the key it will fire into life :) $50 if I can take everything (manifolds, alternator etc. off it) What are 4 link arms? Don't think I do if I'm guessing what I think they are.
  18. Doesn't matter how much power you're pulling. As long as you rip fat skids! :)
  19. You mean you didn't go to summernats?! :) I have seen a KE10, Tommo.. Just not on the road, driving and registered! :D' Will be glad to see the S and T Brothers KE10, though :)
  20. I'm not sure if I can do that without a Tacho....................................... :) Might bring it along to the next meet, but will take a few photo's and chuck em up in my "Red Car" project thread in the next 10 or so weeks :D
  21. f@$king money lol. Unfortunate that you need to fork out so much on it to get it on the road. Good luck with it, though and hope to see it along on the Canberra meets :)
  22. And then click on the big "Order Inquiry" button... And then read the terms and conditions and then click on the "Order Inquiry" button again :jamie:
  23. First of all, great work on the interior. So much difference. I say leave it and go a 2-tone interior. That would look COOL :jamie: I'd take that offer up, Josh! That's a very decent price for a worked rebuild. I was quoted just $1200 for a rings and bearings reco (as opposed to new pistons etc. at $1800). For me, I'd have to go down the 5k path! :) You could bore out the 4k and put 5k pistons in (as a 5k is essentially a bored out 4k), but would probably be looking at a bit more for new pistons.
  24. Not I! I had a few offers to go, but didn't have the money, or the sleep the night before to get there early enough. Anything interesting apart from the KE10 and KE30 stuff out there? Just bought a flat front KE70! God they look so much cooler than slant front KE70's. Not sure as to what I'm going to do with it, yet. It's bloody clean for what I paid for it. 5k is pretty smokey and gearbox is munted, but other than that it's damn tight.
  25. Welcome to the Canberra RC section, Sloth! Shame about the project limitations that you have! Will you be handing the car over them to do ALL the work? I would recommend Phillip Head Services, obviously in Phillip. They did a great job on my head, they're really friendly, are a good source for advice and are fairly priced. I'd imagine you'd be looking at quite a hefty price to get it done, though. Will you be sourcing the motor yourself? ps. you need to get some pics of your new ride :jamie: EDIT: I 2nd Pharley's Spares, too.
