  1. Cheapest upgrade would be a 32/36 Weber or re-jet your standard carb. I've never heard of anyone putting a 4 barrel onto a 4 cyl. All you need for a 32/36 is the adapter plate and bolt it on! Shouldn't even need to re-jet it as it is suited to that size motor.
  2. If it's not "kicking" at all, while turning over, chances are it's either a fuel problem or electrical problem. Best starting point is to spray some start-ya-bastard, aerostart, etc. down the throat of the carby/s and see if it kicks. If it does, it's a fuel problem, if not, obviously an electrical problem. It's pretty hard to work out why a car isn't starting over an internet forum. :jamie:
  3. Very nice! That just a stock 2TG? Very impressive if it is. I've never seen one in action!
  4. Naa, didn't catch that one :jamie:
  5. And a tacho dash? :jamie:
  6. Haha. Champion!
  7. Totally.. Then it's just a bolt-in operation. :P
  8. I wouldn't know, but at a guess I rekon you can just bolt it on. Depending if you want to run fuel injection or not that is up to you, but if you can get a head cheap enough without the fuel injection it would be a little cheaper and maybe a bit less stuffing around with wiring if you ran carby's. Mmm.. Twin side drafts :P
  9. And why wouldn't you pass the emissions test with the twin aisans? Performance wise you probably won't see much of a difference unless you have a fairly worked 4K-U. You will probably use a bit more fuel, it will be harder to tune and to keep it tuned and will most likely be a pain in the ass to initially set up.
  10. If I remember correctly the member Marty K has an S13 (or similar) SR20DET dash unit implanted into his KE30 (very nice car by the way). Shoot him a PM and he may be able to help you out.
  11. Haha. Is that FOUR RollaClub stickers I see on this beast? :P
  12. The ones attached to the carb would look like they'd suck the most air and look the coolest!
  13. Hey mate! It's Vinnie from the Canberra cruise (I was in the red KE70). Great to see your car and hope to see it again. ^^^ If there is any organising of a RadRollaz track day I'd be pretty keen to come along to as I'm getting a few suspension mods done to my car and would like to have a fang on a track anyway! So how much else have you got left on your to do list before it's "complete"?
  14. I've always thought these cars were amazingly ugly, but I guess the practicality of them makes up for that. Kebin on here has an absolute creamer of a AE95. His reminds me of a Liberty RS Turbo wagon. His has a 4agze motor so you could probably hit him up for some questions about the conversion. Good luck. I hope it turns out well for.
  15. Go Jon, go! :P
  16. I think I may have seen this driving around once or twice! While at the drift nationals last weekend there was a SR20 KE70 the same as mine in the comp. There was also a REALLY nice AE71 in the carpark. It was very straight, had MA61 rims sitting at a perfect height and I assume it was equipped with a 4age.
  17. Well I would have used it as a bit of a paddock basher first then once it passed it's use by date just grab the 5k, 5 speed, diff, etc. and possibly some interior bits! How come you're after a AE71 T-50?
  18. Chassis number isn't hard to see... It's in the engine bay on the firewall.
  19. Simplest, easiest, user friendliest, bestest forum! Oh.. and because I own a Corolla. :jamie:
  20. Looks like I won't be getting it. Bloke said it was pretty much sold. It had a 5k, 5 speed, T-18 diff with reco'd centre and solex locks. All for the measly sum of $250. ;) Disappointed that I didn't get it. EDIT: It had good tyres too! :)
  21. Haha, my front yard was a wrecking yard for a while. :jamie: Might be wrecking another car very soon! KE70 :)
  22. Love these things. I liked the steelies better, though :jamie: For those of us who didn't look at the ebay add long enough fill us in with the details about the car!
  23. If you find a KE70 one, let me know! I wouldn't mind one. PS! - Cooma wreckers was a no go. Not allowed to wander around in there anymore. Unfortunately have to kindly ask what the bloke has and wait probably a week for him to get back to you. We got pretty angry after the 1 hour drive
  24. Pardon the double post!
  25. You can get a "T" to plumb up the vac and charcoal canister in one. I have done this on my 32/36 conversion.
