  1. lol ^^^ My mate has a 1984 Sigma. They have really pimp front seats. They're not exactly bucket-like, but are comfy as hell and look really cool. Or, if you can find some, the Sigma Turbo seats are amazingly comfortable and have a good bucket and oldschool look to them. Definitely worth a try. Good luck :D
  2. We know...... k is for kool :)
  3. Just spotted an awesome Ke36 or Ke38 when driving home from work today. It was metallic midnight blue like the new falcons and had a fat intercooler bolted to the front and had some decent sized silver/white stickers on the sides and back. I didn't notice any RC stickers on it, though :) Saw it turning onto the Tuggeranong parkway from Namatjira Drive. Gave the thumbs up to the guy and got a thumbs up back! I'm turning this thread into a "Spotted in Canberra" kinda thread. :D Post up the sweet Rolla's (or other cool/rare cars) up here and we might be able to suss them out!
  4. Haven't had ANY interest at all by the Canberrans as yet, so looks like it won't be happening anyway. :D
  5. Wow.. The only thing "Rolla" that I noticed on the top one was the rear side vents! Doesn't exactly look "the goods", but if that's what they're into! :D
  6. You say this is all on your grandfathers farm? Nice :hmm:
  7. Looks pretty mean, although it won't if you keep punching/kicking it! Have you got any plans of changing the rear wheels? They look kinda poxy compared to the mesh you have on the front. They look like front wheel drive wheels....
  8. Also spotted another RollaClub member coming out of O'Halloran Cct in Kambah, where I live. I've seen it a few times, but only just recently spotted the RC sticker! White 55 Coupe with 17's? Looks pretty cool aswell! Who's car is this one? :P
  9. I remember someone from school had this. She didn't come to school for about 2 weeks. We thought she had died, apparently she almost did from the surgery as it's a really delicate procedure. There's about a 60% survival rate. Good luck *gulp* ;)
  10. Gawd.. I love that idle. It's not deep enough when it revs.. BIGGER EXHAUST! lol
  11. Ke70.. problems? WTF? ;) They do occasionally get a carby problem, which is probably an easy fix, but it has flat spots, or seems to be spluttering. It's not a MAJOR problem, as it can be fixed fairly cheaply. So make sure you give it a test drive. You might be able to get it a heap cheaper and say it's not running right. Other than that, I haven't had any problems to note. Good luck in your search!
  12. Crikey! I'm jealous that you have a straight, rust-free 36 :yak: Take care of it :y:
  13. I prefer the black look. Looks smooth and cruisy! Especially with the tint. You could put some hub caps on it and leave the whitewalls.
  14. Service it every <5,000 Km's. It makes it last 10x longer and run 10x better. Very nice looking KE70 btw. It is a bit of a pain when the clearcoat wears off. Make sure you keep your car "red", by polishing it, because if it stays orange it will fade. Mine has the same problem. I have/had the same problem with the carby aswell. Not exactly sure if it actually is the carby, though. It's swallowed a can full of carby cleaner and it still does it (very very occasionally). Just gunked up from no one driving it I guess. Good luck with it. I envy your air con, 5 speed, tacho dash and tape deck! :) "S" model for the win :y:
  15. Kickass! $2500 for a truck with a crane is a bargain. :) I agree.. are there any plans to paint it? That's a nice red on your Rolla. I must say, an impressive Corolla aswell, def. one of my faves. So beautiful :y:
  16. Fantastic bargain! A $400 bank account balance for me makes it difficult to keep adding to my Corolla collection. I love the interior, looks flash! Should look at putting some nice rims on it. Something clean and respectable though to suit the car. Good luck with the beast and in the words of ke20rolla...
  17. Who has it now? Any pics of it now? Still looked damn mean before in the car wash pic.
  18. Alloys don't suit KE's. Your opinion, though. Get some oldschool Simmons!
  19. Hooray for Australia Post! Got mine yesterday. Top work Jon! Us Canberrans will try our hardest to get ourselves in next years calendar.
  20. I'm organising a skid pan meet for mid-late February in another thread. I need to wait for the dates on the 5th-Gear Motorsport website to update themselves for a booking to become available and to find out what date/s are available as they only do 1 or 2 private bookings per month (it seems). We can either do a morning session from 8am - 12:30pm; or an afternoon session from 12:30pm - 5pm. Here is the link to the Skid Pan Day Thread
  21. I was driving home from work in Weston Creek area and spotted a sweet Orange Ke30 or 55 with white racing stripes. I chased after it and noticed a RollaClub sticker on the back, so I kinda tooted my horn before they turned off down Bangalay Crescent in Rivett. I was in a Red Ke70 with hotwire rims and a steely on the back. Own up if you own it, or if you know who does. Nice car :y:
  22. I'm wanting to organise a "drift" skid pan meet for us RollaClub members in the Canberra region (or for those willing to drive the distance to come) at the Sutton Forest driver training centre near Queanbeyan. We shall organise a meeting point, and cruise our way down to Sutton Forest at either 8am or 12:30pm, depending on which session we book! When there, we will get our own skid pan, drift/driving trainer, who is a big help, and if we get 10+ members to come, a free BBQ and DVD of us at the end of the day. It's great fun and a chance for us Canberra members to meet up and show off our rides. The cost will be $110 each if we get 10+ members or $135 if we only get 8 members. I'm hoping for 10+ members. You don't have to participate on the skid pan, but you can come along and watch for free! Post here if you're keen to come along to the skid pan and we will try and organise a date in February. If we can't get enough members, you can bring your friends. The link is just a little discussion about my first experience at the skid pan. Skid Pan!
  23. I'd love to go... Petrol money/money is a worry for us P-Plate drivers. Although, it is 4 months away :P . I could win the lotto by then :y: We'll see how things go. But definitely wanting to go.
  24. I'm no expert on boosting K motors (or any motors), but there has been many threads about the pointlessness of boosting a K motor. There are so many more cheaper, better, easier options than boosting a K motor, such as a 4a-ge implant, 2t, 3t etc. it's up to you. What're you planning to use the extra power for? If you're really keen on this, though. I wouldn't have a clue! You'd have to call around mechanics, car shops and what not.
  25. The next public day is the 31st of January. I will not be attending this as I'll be in Bermagui hitting up the beachesand fishing spots! Anyone can go, but you must book. There is a limit to numbers, though. You don't need a drift-spec car. I did it in my stock as Ke70 and was able to keep up (drifting) with the sporty Skylines. I'll try my hardest to get something organised for us members! Good to see some interest. Post up here if you're willing to go. $110 + skid pan 'drift' training + free BBQ + pro quality DVD + chance for members to meet up, have a chat, show off their rides and learn how to drift. Perfect RollaClub meet.
