  1. Drift spec :P Nice work for a budget car. I like the ghettoness of it. That's a real Rolla :)
  2. I want a coupe :P Them meshies looked bloody awesome! Why did you change them? Do you still have them? Good luck on the rest of the car :)
  3. Sprinter/AE86 sounds awesome! They are renowned drifters so don't exactly have a laughable name against them. I honestly wouldn't be worried about having a KE70/AE71 drifter either. I'd much rather prefer it, because of the big "COROLLA" badge on it. I had a skid pan day not too long ago and I had an absolute blast in my completely stock 4k KE70. Even the guys that ran the show said that I did an amazing job with what I had to give.. a free spinning diff (not LSD or locked) and a 1.3 ltr motor. Although if you go down the KE70/AE71 path, a 4age/ze conversion would be a good one to take for the extra oomf. Or an even bigger/better motor :) Good luck.
  4. I (believe) I saw this add in the All Classies a week or so ago aswell. It was for $1300-$1400 right? I was going to have a look at the car but really decided against it as I wouldn't have the cash and time to do another project as I have BARELY even started on my wagon. I'm also in Canberra so I'd love to see this car if you're planning on buying it. There aren't as many of the older Rolla's in Canberra compared to other large cities. It's an exciting sight to see a coupe or older model. I've only ever seen one KE20 on the road here. Good luck if you buy it. Let me know if you don't and I might give him a crack at $1000 :) Vincent ps. Have you ever heard of a Corolla die? I thought not :P
  5. That's a really nice photo! It's an even better car, too.. Keep up your great work on the car!
  6. Looks the goods! Nice photo work. 2010 RollaClub Calendar front cover worthy :P Would you be able to put a higher resolution photo of that up? Or send it to [email protected] I need a new desktop background.
  7. I don't mean to be rude, but it would be good to "join" the club before you start demanding stickers or where people meet etc. I suggest that you make yourself a ride or an "I'm new" thread, introduce yourself (properly). Get to know a few people, get involved in a few of the things online and actually LOOK around as it has been said in the last 2 or 3 posts that there is already a GIANT thread titled "Official Sticker Thread 2009". Welcome to RollaClub.
  8. You have been disowned from RollaClub. Quads/flats give it an older look, while the slant front looks modern and a little closer to the AE86 front end. That's what I rekon. I think they look the best out of the 3. Although, I still really like the quads. Flat's look funny  Nice car, Roo :hmm:
  9. I was thinking of turning a 2 door into a 4 door. Has anybody done this? ^^^ Sarcasm. Why would you spend a megaload of dollars on something that you're not 100% sure on how to do properly and to make it how you want it. Just import a TE70. Much cheaper, T motor/driveline, which is bigger and better. Unless you only plan to use it for shitz'n'giggles and not get it registered it is definetely NOT worth doing this project!
  10. Mine *cough* :P Not sure who's. Nice driving though!
  11. I must search high and low for a KE3x/Ke5x factory aircon! :D A definite must for pimpin car owners. I'll holler if I find something.
  12. One word... That's a mother load of panel work. I guess it HAS to be straight :P Keep it up.
  13. Get it for me!
  14. Total f@$kers cyclists are. It's amazing that there is a BIKE path with signs 2m from the road and they still ride all over the road. When I rode my bike when I was about 12-16 I'd HATE riding on the road as it was kinda scary. I don't know how these assholes can do it when there is a path right next to them. Yes they are complete pricks about the whole "I have my rights" and "I wear skin tight clothes because it makes me go faster"... Get a car and you can drive 3x faster! Once I was in a car and we went to pull out of a driveway and stopped about 1m onto the road to let a cyclist past and he stops (rather than going 1m out of his way) and says with the biggest smart-ass smile on his face "You're in the way". If I weren't with my parents I would have rammed that shithead to death with my car and said "No...You're in the way".
  15. Getting pulled over by a cop, claiming to have "thought" you were speeding, while being really nice to him, then getting a $90 fine for not having P plates on and a "have a NICE day" sir... 5 seconds before I was about to park my car. Good thing I just replaced my "slicks".
  16. Seabiscuit's plans for 2009: - Start Apprenticeship as electrician (anyone hiring in ACT) - Completely fix body of KE36, remove rust, dints etc. Best and only way. - Have at least $5k in the bank - Deposit on a mansion (lol) - Like the rest of us - get lots of sex - Get absolutely maggot on my 18th (11th of March - Who's coming?) - Win the lottery - Upgrade computer - Get a straight KE36 bumper - Buy/install a 5k into KE70 or KE36 - Do pushups (already given up) - Get strong and stuff
  17. Lots of money?
  18. $800-1000 maybe? (Would be a KE35 or KE55 coupe btw, as KE30 was the sedan, unless it's a 2-door sedan)
  19. Unless you have a K-T bellhousing... and vice versa  I know there is a K-T bellhousing, never heard of a T-K bellhousing (if you'd be silly enough to use one)
  20. Haha, now that you say that, that's basically it! Silly new cars without the chrome bumpers.
  21. Even if every Corolla in Canberra (ACT) joined RC and took part in a cruise, QLD would still beat us.
  22. Same problem here buddy. I think it's just condensation getting in the fuel system. I backfired my carby by swapping two leads over on the dizzy and revving/letting it off and it gets it out, but it started doing it again about 10 mins later. PM me if you get any amazing breakthroughs.
  23. G'day mate. Love the old coupes. Especially rust-free ones! :y: Good luck with the project. Just one question - Are those seatcovers or are they aftermarket or seats from something else? They look comfy! Vinnie
  24. Hahahaha, love the "Holden Commodore" badges on the Ke36/38... 38's didn't have full chrome bumpers did they? I thought only 36's did! That 35 actually looks in reasonable condition. It could use a freshen up, though...
  25. lol ^^^ My mate has a 1984 Sigma. They have really pimp front seats. They're not exactly bucket-like, but are comfy as hell and look really cool. Or, if you can find some, the Sigma Turbo seats are amazingly comfortable and have a good bucket and oldschool look to them. Definitely worth a try. Good luck :D
