  1. Run through a full tank of petrol with Nulon Complete Petrol System Cleaner (says some bullcrap about being best in the world) and it really cleans out some of the crap in the system. A good service will cost about $80-100 if you do it yourself. Personally I'd save your money lol
  2. In my KE70 I drove 150k's on the highway to my uncles farm (at 110-120km/h and speed-tested it to 155!) and found out that there was no oil in it when I got there... I hadn't checked the oil for about 2 months so it could have been running on no oil for god knows how long... It still purred like a kitten! My answer to you is............. YES! But yeah, if it's in good working condition go for it. Just another story at the pub if it breaks down.
  3. Go easy! He's only new... Welcome to RollaClub. I thought the old KE15/17 Sprinters came out with twin carbs? But yes, that's what you usually do... Buy a twin carb manifold from redline or make one and then buy the carbs seperately. Carbs aren't "attached" to the head. They can be removed so it doesn't HAVE to come with one stock.
  4. Only in Puerto Rico at the drags lol. But that's true... 500hp+ for a 1.8 is pretty freakin insane. I wouldn't recommend it for a daily, though. I'd go the 3t becuase of the reliability and the oldschool feel (for KE20). 4age's are good, though.
  5. If you were to sell it whole in it's condition, people most-likely would only buy it for a project (strip and CLEAN everything) or for the parts that have been previously stated as "hard to find". As a rough guesstimate I'd say between the $300-$700 mark, which of course all depends on what people are willing to pay as they are quite a rare find now and some people may pay more! Stripping it down (:jamie:) and parting it out would probably get you a little more money, but this would definitely be a great project car for an enthusiast, but then that might be a hard find too. EDIT: I see an uncracked dash! Someone offer some money :)
  6. Pics of whole car! :P That was a really quickly built car. Are you doing anything else to the car before you're happy? You'll want some decent seats. Wooden planks wrapped in foam and leather probably won't cut it for you! Good luck with the car.
  7. Who will be the first to spot my KE70? Southside, RED, subtle gold stripes down the side, hotwire mags, GTRolla Badge (that's right) and a RC Logo on driver side rear quarter window.
  8. Yea, that's why I was so keen to get the car.. the motor, turbo, LSD etc... Plus it had a pretty mean exhaust didn't it? The boot that he had looked really clean/straight? Also the chrome trims, grille etc. looked good. They are 35+ years old don't forget... Good luck with it, though. And the name's Seabiscuit :D
  9. Nice work, G-Spec. You really know how to give your cars the Hollywood treatment don't you? Keep up the good work.
  10. Nice and shiny. What plans have you got for the motor? I say a huge cam and shiny twin carbs.
  11. Do they have the two door *E7*'s there? Must be cheap to buy a shitload of parts for a JDM conversion :D See how many Rolla's you can fit into the one photo
  12. Has this car been made?! Sounds like fun :D
  13. Damn, that motor is wicked. Congrats on your build. Your dad's a legend!
  14. How CHEAP are you talking compared to on-your-door, LittleRedSpirit? I'd rather save a buck and pick it up at the depot!
  15. Ahh! Well I've sent them a detailed email for a quote!
  16. Smart Send has an easy quote system! Anyone ever weighed a 14x7 rim? Guess?
  17. I'm looking at getting a couple of things freighted/couriered to my doorstep within the next few days/weeks. I'll be getting a towbar from a member here and a set of 14x7 tyreless rims from eBay. Would anyone recommend a good company to use for price and reliability? I don't care if the towbar gets dropped or anything, but don't want my rims getting damaged and I've heard that there are a few shockers out there. Vince
  18. Haven't won Lotto yet, but on a date after Wednesday 11th March (when I turn 18) I'll be getting my first lotto tix. What's wrong with swags/car seats? :D Will ask my friend/s if they're keen to Roll up with me and check it out.
  19. Engine mounts aren't hard to make?! What car/motor are they for?
  20. I see KE70's all the time?! You mustn't venture out a lot. I see atleast one cool car a day! There's a 5k, Turbo, 2.5" exhaust, LSD, KE20 on Allclassifieds for $500. I looked at it twice, was barely any rust the guy has spare (perfect) boot, bumpers, chrome trim (good) doors, guards, grille etc. The only thing wrong is that it has a blown head gasket and has been sitting a while. Is a cheapo blow-through setup on the turbo BTW. But in all it's a cool little car and has them spare parts! Perfect project :D EDIT: The car is also engineered for the 5k, so can drive it legally!
  21. Lovin' the Sigma GSR rims. They look really cool polished. I'd leave the rims and go with option 3. Good luck :|
  22. Warwick Yellow would look really nice I think. Or even a nice soft blue colour. For your motor, definitely a 2t/3t twin carb setup. Oldschool motors are a must for oldschool cars. They just sound a hell of a lot cooler, are so much easier to maintain and you can build it like lego. Good luck with the project and get lots more pics up now that you've got it home!
  23. I wish you the best of luck with it. Tell them about your love of cars and that you've learnt a bit from your grandfather and all of the other interesting stuff you like to do. Do a burnout.. Chicks doing burnouts is even hotter than chicks working on cars. You'd have the job in no time. :lolcry:
