  1. Has to be one of the cleanest I've seen! Congrats on such a nice, clean car. Definitely a keeper If you're looking to go down the superlites road, RA28GT on here has (in my opinion) the best looking superlites on his KE20. Would set yours right off if you did the same. Here is the link to his car if you haven't already seen it. RA28GT's Superlited KE20 Good luck
  2. Sure you can do a crazy powerful conversion if you like. Just don't drive over the speed limit. Your penis is never going to get any bigger by putting a 3L turbo'd 6 into a sub-900kg??? car. Seriously, though. It's a waste of money for someone LEARNING how to drive. It's a lot funner doing up a car that you're going to respect one day, rather than go 200km/h+ in before you crash into a tree/ditch/pole/etc. Would you brag to grandma and your relatives that you have a fully sick car that smokes up the street and can beat Rex's? You should know better!
  3. Lets make our own cruise? If you read this post, post up what days you're available and we'll try organise a cruise within the next few months. I'm available most days and nights if in advance. A Friday or Saturday night or Sunday lunch cruise would be the best bet. We can do a photoshoot and post up here for those who missed it. We really need people to dedicate to this as this is a car club, not just an internet forum! I look forward to getting something organised.
  4. Hotwires are my faves too. They could be any Hotwire rim. I have 14x7 Cheviot's, they have the same amount of dish, but my spokes angle in quite a bit. I also have a set of 13x5.5 Cheviot's which have a flat face. The flat face just means he has more positive offset. as the mounting hub is closer to the outside of the rim. Looks nice, though. If you get chrome bumpers like lots of people have been saying, I'd go for the real AE71/KE70 chrome bumpers as I think the T18 bars just look a bit ghetto and are a little out of place. Good luck on the rest of your project, can't wait to see the progress of the car. Glad you've decided on the 4age. Here is a useful link decide what 4age you need to look for and a lot more! Phil's 4age Page
  5. Turbo. You're looking at the turbo manifold, and turbo in the link. Get a bigger cam, injectors exhaust and you'll be laughing! For Sale Thread With 3t-gte stuff!
  6. Fun little project! I've always had a soft spot for the 2 door sedans. Just don't look as "cluttered" down the sides since it's essentially missing one door. Hope to see a good paint job :P
  7. Which comes back to the upgrading of things to suit the motor. Who would do a 1JZ/2JZ conversion into such a small car without making it safer anyway? You are the one driving it!
  8. I've been told that the tread has to be the only thing "inside" the guards. Either way, the car looks awesome with the KE25 Grille and the new wheels. Although the red ones I think looked a bit more classy - might have been the centre caps!
  9. How "serious" is the 5k going to be? I see talk of an upright motor! Mmmmmmm.
  10. Stratos seats. I'm not sure on the price of them, but they are an aftermarket seat and come in all different shapes and sizes. 4WD seats to sports bucket seats to Forklift chairs. 2nd handy's come up on eBay every now and then so keep a look out otherwise I believe they are quite expensive for brand new ones. I got a set when I bought a car and they are the best seats I've ever sat in. Simple, soft but still very supportive.
  11. Once you get a hang of the basic tools it is really easy. Especially stuff like this. It's basically just "selecting" the old and ratty looking stickers and then painting over it with the same colour. What Photoshop program do you use nikctime21? I need a decent free one.
  12. I've spotted an original Orange KE20 that looks as if it has been resting for 10+ years out the front of a house. It seems to be in exceptional condition outside, and an average interior. Looks as if it has been owned since new (or for a long long time) by an elderly person. I have knocked on the door and peeked over the back fence atleast 6 times to no avail. I want to offer them money for it as it looks straight and would come up amazing with a clean. I'm not saying where because someone else will try get it! :)
  13. Ahh, extension housing not bell housing. If I remember correctly I once read somewhere on here that K40 and K50 extension housings cannot be interchanged. Is this correct? Buy a KE20 you do! They're so cool :D I'll try get some pics up of the cars tomorrow.
  14. Are Quadlights up?! What are overall plans for this car? 13x8 -10 - you're insane. They'll stick out like TWO sore thumbs. EDIT: How many defects did you get?
  15. Weather's not lookin' too good. :D Those are some nice cars! I like the triumph :) What's the superliteless car?
  16. You'll pay good money for a new set of superlites, although you could probably wait around for some decent second hand ones to come around. Same with Watanabes - will probably just have to wait around for a good set! :D Bloody amazing condition the car is in. It better stay that way. :) ps. Couldn't believe it when I read the bit about the tag on the heater controls. You must have found this in a time-capsule.
  17. Wagon is looking the goods! Is it classed as a wagon or panelvan, because if it is a panelvan you can black out your rear windows and it looks really cool :D ps. to this picture ^^^ Overkill much! """"Shit!!! Turn around guys - there's a speed hump :) """"
  18. Was it a repairable write-off? Looks as if it would almost buff out! But seriously from most angles it only looks as if the door took most of the hit and a bit on the body. Of course the door pillar thingy did get hit, but that can be cut out of another KE20 and welded on. Another RollaClubber cut a roof off of a T-18 and welded another one on so why shouldn't this be repairable? If I were an insurance man I'd say that it is . :) Is a shame you are selling it. Good luck.
  19. What circumstances are making you get rid of this car? I couldn't bare to sell a project car.
  20. 2 five-speeds. One in the running Convertible and the other just kinda strapped underside of the sedan shell. I'm debating whether to sell one as I need money but will most-likely use/need them in the future as my KE70 box is literally falling apart, but I don't think it will bolt straight up as I need the right bellhousing to change it over (right?) and I may need a replacement for the convertible as it has a very tough little 5k. About 5 dash displays, 1 set of VERY COMFY oldschool Stratos brand seats, 1 K injection manifold, maybe a pair or two KE20 tallights, a number of panels and doors, windscreen or 3 and quite a few more things Two 5k motors - One in convertible, and the other in bits but one in bits will consider selling. 30/70 Cam he said, has been ported and few other mods perhaps. From what I've seen the 5k is only a block and head. I've probably missed a lot of things as I haven't had time to look through everything. If you are looking for anything KE20 or K motor specific I may be able to help you out so just shoot me a PM and I might be able to dig something out for you.
  21. Just picked up 2 KE20 from a top bloke in Duffy. One is a convertible (in the making) and the other is a stripped sedan. Plans are to (if I don't get too carried away) finish the convertible as I fell in love with it straight away and probably sell/scrap the sedan shell. Check the Canberra parts section for details in the next few days.
  22. Any time is better than no time. I'm very grateful for the advice and will try get a set as they look bloody awesome! I forgot to tell your dad my name was Vince too. I was half asleep so tried to remember as much as I could before getting on the computer to check it out. Tell him thanks again. Just curious... What did you end up getting on that Dyno run?
  23. Spacers are illegal. :D 17" rims would look ridiculous on a KE70 anyway! 15 is the biggest I would go. 16 would be pushing it and like I said, 17's would look wacky. 17+ rims are for BMW's and fulleh sik VL's But to answer your question, I'm not sure of any 17" rims that are suitable for a KE70.
  24. My eyes lit up when I saw these. Kind of like a crossbred starshark and mesh rim! :)
  25. My first attempt at a conversion gave me back $111,000 AUD and the second attempt I get $0.99994 AUD on a different website. PM sent!
