  1. Holy crap that's a f@$king beast. 8/
  2. Wrong! KE70 and KE30-55 five-speeds are exactly the same, except the only difference being the extension housing has the shifter position in a different spot. A KE30-55 extension housing has the shifter position JUST off the middle (closer to the rear) of the extension housing, where the KE70 has the shifter position almost at the very rear of the extension housing. If you were to fit a KE70 extension housing gearbox to a KE55 the shifter would stick up about 20-30?cm back from the shifter hole. NOTE: The extension housings are interchangeable between KE70 and KE30-55 to suit the car. First pic is KE70 shifter position and 2nd is KE55 shifter position (took 45 mins finding it )
  3. Yes :y: Kabloomy ones! :hmm: I still have quite a few.

    I Win

Got any more room for a couple of KE20's? :y:
  5. Mmm, mesh :hmm: It looks to me like your tyres rotation is going the wrong way on your front right. Unless you drive backwards? :y:
  6. You could cut off the "sump" part of it (leaving the bolt holes), do the same to a 3/4/5k sump and attach that to the mounting part of the bolt holes on the cut up 7k sump and fill in the gaps?
  7. I had a K40 box with the same issue, however it didn't have 5th to whine! It was quite a noisy, grinding box before one night I went out "thrashing" for a few hours with loud music. When I turned off the music and drove it home it whined really badly. About a month after this night I was just mucking about and gave it a little bit more than I normally would while trying to go fast and BANG, clunk clunk clunk. It was all over. So basically I drove it till it died and then replaced with a 5 speed!
  8. Carby/s, exhaust, cam.. In that order. Carby is a difficult one to price. If you're lucky some people will give them to you or sell for under $100, but if you're looking for a rebuilt or one off eBay you'll probably pay upwards of $150-$200 for a 32/36 weber or similar. then the adapter plate you're looking at $25-$50. All up $100-350 Exhaust looking at quite a bit if you aren't going to do any yourself. Extractors (new) cost about $250-$300 or $100+ second hand. Then you'll need to spend atleast $300 on a 2" exhaust.. All up $450-650 I've never had a cam reground or changed in my car but I've read it's about $80-$150 for a regrind from Tighe Cams, Crowe Cams etc. Tighe 104 is supposed to be a good grind (as said in "How to build a tough K motor"). That is if you remove/install the cam yourself. I have no idea of the cost of the mechanic work but probably not too cheap! Good luck
  9. Pics of ye mighty engine and luxuresque interior? :bash: That's a bloody nice car! Similar sort of thing to my friends 929, but I'd much prefer this!!! So many features
  10. That's gotta hurt. I got laid off my apprenticeship a few months back and it wasn't easy to take either. I've still got four rolla's sitting in my front yard, though  Good luck, it already is looking fantastic!
  11. I can't seem to open the "Light Vehicle Modifications" page. When I download it and open it in OpenOffice it just has gobbledegook in it. Everyone else getting the same?
  12. Thank you.. What's your bank account number? :bash: I wasn't quite sure what to type in. I tried a couple things but didn't come up with much. I just thought people may have looked at it before!
  13. I'm putting a 5k in my KE70 and I need to find out what rules apply to doing conversions for the ACT. Has anyone come across a website regarding the rules about engine conversions? Especially ACT
  14. I vote Sammo.
  15. It's a bit blurry, but ain't that just your temp sender? (to your gauges)
  16. Who is up for a meet/greet at the South Coast Nationals (Moruya Nats) this year? http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i49/fried_01/scn1.jpg We all know that's a big no no. Is a shame, though.
  17. Heavily worked 5k going in tomorrow (if all goes well) Attempting a home job rust repair on the car soon. Fixing up little stuff. Wanting to get it registered so badly.
  18. Mmm.. Yes I put an RC flyer under his wiper blades today! Also remembered some while back I was told of a nice KE20 in Curtin. Went and had a look and it was quite clean! Had a overrated dash pad too! Looks like a likely candidate for a cash offer. It's in Crowther Pl
  19. Is this thing finished? Those pics are awesome!
  20. Ahahahahaha, I love the "Objects in mirror" sticker. Your centre console is a little strange... Looks like a pretty good job on the flareage Nice car :rolla:
  21. That rust looks nasty, Raven! You're definitely going to have to get that sorted. Keep up the progress pics. Haha!
  22. I haven't seen ONE pic of the rear end of Ollie! It's coming along very nicely, Josh! I've got myself a really worked 5k that I'm planning on putting in my wagon. It came out of a KE20 convertible (that I'm wrecking). It bloody flew in that. Good luck :rolla: Vince
  23. 2 inch different size rims would look shit in my opinion. Especially since they'll both be steelies and will be of different "shape". Just get some nice rims and it will look good!
  24. Anyone seen the mustard KE30 in Weston Creek area? It doesn't sound like a K motor and it took off on me in my KE70.
