What was the username?

They can be hit and miss. On my SR20 it works perfectly (large input shaft, close tolerances) but on a K motor it failed miserably so we gutted another gearbox for the input shaft.

Definitely.

Self-righteousness on both sides. Both need to be more tolerant of each other.

The pancakes or the hookers?
-
Yea well, we'll have our own pancake meetup... with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the pancakes!

Essentially the exemption just applies automatically for learners. Otherwise they'd be handing out exemptions for learners like candy. http://tmr.qld.gov.a...e-vehicles.aspx

hehe sorry. I started working back to try and figure out the actual VE then decided I couldn't be arsed :P As an apology here's a corrected equation: (1.5 * 0.75) x 5000 rpm = 5625/2 = 2812.5ltrs/min (determining air requirements at 0psi) 3psi + 14.7 = 17.7/14.7 = 1.204 (boost ratio) 2812.5 x 1.204 = 3386.25lts/min @ 3psi (air requirements at boost) 3386.25/0.5 = 6772.5 rpm (supercharger speed) 6772.5 / 5000 = 1.35 (pulley ratio for 3psi boost @ 5000 rpm So 75% VE is not far off the mark. Using the dirty JS I whipped up below the VE works out to be about 78%. <html> Capacity (in cc):<input id="capacity" name="capacity"><br> VE %:<input id="ve" name="ve"><br> Boost (in PSI):<input id="boost" name="boost"><br> RPM:<input id="rpm" name="rpm"><br> <input type="button" onClick="doCalc();" value="Calculate"><br> Pulley ratio:<input id="ratio" name="ratio"><br> <script type="text/javascript"> function doCalc() { capacity = (document.getElementById("capacity").value) / 1000; ve = document.getElementById("ve").value; boost = document.getElementById("boost").value; rpm = document.getElementById("rpm").value; airreq = ((capacity * (ve / 100)) * rpm) / 2; bratio = (Number(boost) + 14.7) / 14.7; atbreq = airreq * bratio; chspd = atbreq / 0.5; ratio = chspd / rpm; document.getElementById("ratio").value = ratio; } </script> </html>

Assuming 100% VE? Is 1.204 (20°C) the right air density for the temperature?

Have a gander at this to get you started: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/61097-exhaust-ke70/

OH&S says you can't have more than 50 tonnes of nitrous oxide (including nitrogen dioxide and trioxide) in one place.
-
So far as I can see you only need a dangerous goods licence and placard if you're transporting dangerous goods with a container having a capacity larger than 500kg or 500L. That's a fair bit of nitrous Carlos! You've got me curious as to how it would possibly illegal now. It's only an oxidiser so not any more dangerous than carrying breathing oxygen. For use in vehicles it's usually doped with sulfur dioxide so you can smell it if there's even a tiny leak. You'd be more likely to die from carbon monoxide poisoning than a nitrous leak.

Just read this on mtbr Source: http://www.mtbr.com/cat/suspension/2012-forks/rockshox/recon-silver-tk/prd_485650_6771crx.aspx

Been riding clipless for about a week and a half and I freaking love it. Solved all the problems I was hoping it would. No clipless topples yet, few moments of panic though, my time will come. Can anyone point me in the direction of where I can get replacement coil springs for forks? I've had a look around and can't find much locally. It's a Rockshox recon silver TK, not the greatest or lightest but its doing the job for now. I've got the preload wound a long way up but that's killing the travel, the spring seems to bind about 1cm before the forks bottom out. Also my father bough a 2011 run out mongoose full suspension just so he can come out on some trails with us. Not much but it was cheap. Anyway, the front forks are the same as mine but are air sprung annnnd they leak very slowly, about 3-4psi since Saturday when they were completely deflated. Is there anything I can do about that or am I better off just dropping it back at the store and having them replaced under warranty? My brother has Fox forks (prick) and they haven't leaked anything in over a month so I'm assuming this isn't normal.

I'm not out to delete everything I disagree with, that'd be censorship which is crap. I just don't understand the rational behind them is all. It makes perfect sense to me to revisit issues. Everyone that encounters the problem and solves it independently might approach it differently and revisiting the issue in a thread allows people to share what might be a better solution to the problem. Plus as you revisit the issue you generate more potential results so that people CAN find it when they search. Finding one lonesome thread in the deepest depths of Rollaclub can be quite a challenge at the best of times. "Google it/search it/RTFAQ" responses annoy the ʞ©$ɟing shit out of me. If the answer is blatantly obvious then leave it for someone less experienced to answer. Give someone less l33t than you a chance to contribute around here. To me there's two options: A) Address the question (posting a link DIRECTLY to a solution thread is included here provided the post is devoid of snide remarks) B) Don't contribute to the thread There is no "C) Tell them to search caws its mega obvious and this exact problem has been covered leik thousands of times lulz now I have a bigger epeen for telling that guy off" Heck, maybe we should start a weekly thread in the mod area and posts links to all the "Search!" responses so all the mods can downboat them to oblivion.

Wait wait wait... are we defining the percentage of FINISHED or UNFINISHED? To me it looks like Reed and Luke are agreeing but have quoted numbers on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.

*Points to pile of spare AN fittings* Yep, I've got this problem.

Speaking from experience unfortunately...
