  1. Very nice :D I think I'll probably end up getting semis locally. The FZ-201s fit the bill for me (fast but hard wearing) and the price is pretty good too.
  2. Best of luck guys!
  3. Now that blocks more like it!
  4. But I'm le tired. OK well have a nap, THEN FIRE ZE MISSLES!
  5. I changed my vote. Baby blue looks pretty damn good.
  6. You just need to step it up a notch. Take a leaf from the QLD Governments book ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Coast_Desalination_Plant
  7. You sound like a cheese eating surrender monkey...
  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Salt_Farmers_-_Pak_Thale-edit1.jpg If they can do it, so can you!
  9. I think so. Mind you I could be completely wrong, I'm only imagining the dynamics and who knows, maybe its offset in the other direction(!)? You could achieve a similar effect by running a really large rod ratio so why didn't Toyota go down that route? Then again, perhaps they did that as well.
  10. I think the idea is that the conrod is pushing at less of an angle through the power stroke so that there's less side loadings on the (unsupported) cylinder walls.
  11. I got rid of the dislike. There's enough hate on the internet already :P
  12. Kinda sorta not really? Nothing a solid chunk of aluminium and a CNC couldn't fix. Open deck might be more of a concern. Could get interesting up around the 500-600hp mark. SRs start ovaling standard cylinder liners around there. Offset crank might help though?
  13. I can totally see this being The Next Big Thing. It's like an SR20 but (dare I say it?) better. Be interesting to see how they tolerate revs, fair old stroke on them. Might not be an issue? There's guys taking SR22VETs (91mm stroke) to well over 9000rpm now. Have they got a crank girdle? Full counter forged crank at least :) should be good for some serious power. Once these get some RWD development under their belts I'm sure they'll become one hell of a potent engine.
  14. Ergh, I feel sick just reading that!
  15. Holy mother of rocket ships! That thing launches like nothing else :o
  16. I love it! Some of the saw tooth curbs at QR have a 5-10cm drop off from all the dirt turboing, others have had something that more resembles a plumbers trench, particularly turn 2 exit. I had a huge moment there when I slipped off the ripple strip into the trench. I don't completely blame the drifters, the track should be keeping up the maintenance. If it gets really bad then why not put concrete there or something?
  17. What'd shipping end up setting you back?
  18. You're not wrong, they're reasonably interchangeable, just if you were making up a new tunnel in the firewall for the motor that only just clears the cam covers on the RB20, no way you could get a 26/30 in there. Maybe have a shot with the single cam head? Its the cam covers at the front of the 26/30 that hit in a silvia but its been a very long time since I ever looked at it and only ever 26/30s. R32 GTRs have a problem with the intercooler piping, 26/30 lifts it into the bonnet.
  19. I usually don't care about delays either, just when I'm not informed about the delay is when I get shitted off. Takes what? 30 seconds to send me an email? I don't want your life story, just "hey they've been delayed, manufacturing issues". Cool, done, I'm happy. I've taken to sending a thank you email to everyone that does inform me that there's a delay. So far I've gotten a free shirt out of it :D. I think there's too many dicks out there who jump down vendors throats because they're being informed about a delay. Hey genius, the other option is you get to live in the dark.
  20. They don't pro-rata? Consider yourself lucky though, $50 a session is a steal. Considering the giant ditches dug by the drifters and the tarmac edge damage at QR (and other tracks) its considerably more expensive to host drifters at a circuit. Having had one trip towards the barriers thanks to this damage I'm glad they haven't invaded lakeside yet.
  21. YO DAWG We herd you liked google translate so we put a google translate in your google translate in your google translate in your google translate.....so you can translate while you translate while you translate.....
  22. They're somewhat taller. An RB20 will fit a silvia no worries but an RB30 with a DE head will have bonnet clearance issues. Definitely do some measuring and forward planning if an RB30 is in your future.
  23. As idiotic as I think it is, Option 1 will do it: http://www.option1garage.com.au/NewTyres.htm Expert fitting and balancing $10.00 Wheel Only $15.00 On car $20.00 Stretch
  24. You're not the only one... *sigh*
  25. Just grind the NISSAN TWINCAM 16 VALVE off the cam cover and tell your mates its whatever you want it to be. Free yourself from engine racism!
