  1. All bolts stretch to some degree when you torque them up. What matters is the tensile rating of the bolt versus how tight you've torqued them. There comes a point where the bolt becomes permanently stretched. Seen as its friday and my brains not working well wikipedia can say it for me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw#Tensile_strength
  2. RTFR!! Theres a wanted section for a reason...
  3. If a mechanic can't competently work on a KE they shouldn't be a mechanic in the first place. Any good workshop should be fine.

  5. I can almost guarantee it'll need modification. Just get a custom system, it'll only be a few hundred dollars and should fit ten times better than a hacked up KE3x exhaust.
  6. Ah yep...that is a shocking intersection too. From what I understand its the next one slated for an overpass but you know how the government flip flops. Most of those cross roads along the warrego have had fatalities within the past few years, some of them more than once.

  8. There's a Myspace one too: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=21844 I'm not one for these social networking sites but I end up being forced to have a page ugh.
  9. Make a WTB post, this is a technical section. Don't forget the no peddling rule.
  10. No and AFAIK No.
  11. Thats good to hear! Where exactly was the crash? Laidley Plainlands intersection now has a fly over because of its notoriety (I'm still having nightmares about supplying that project ;)) so I guess it was either back towards Hattonvale or further towards Forrest Hill?
  12. Damn that sucks.
  13. Thank you for undermining the efforts of moderators attempting to make Rollaclub a better place. I'm sure they appreciate your scrutiny and shall look upon you favorably because of it. Seriously guys lift the quality.
  14. No the splines are very different. Length wise off the top of my head I don't remember. At a guess I don't think its any longer.
  15. Very little irritates me more than people who can't or don't want to negotiate round abouts correctly. Its not that difficult really...

  17. There's a thin (1-2mm) metal plate that goes between the gearbox bell housing and the motor. IMO It needs to be there.
  18. Golf GT TSI, Audi LMP... yea maybe not diesel either.
  19. I can tell you it is open, I have raced there and I was not "invited" per say. It was just like any other track day I've done. Hell the QR site even has the details for their days there. FYI Mr Tetley does not own lakeside, pine rivers shire council do, he is the leaseholder. *white noise*
  20. Surely are here: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=14997 http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=15554

  22. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...3K_powered_KE20 Yes you have to cut the floor even if you use a KE55 K50. No you can't use the auto tailshaft.
  23. We just need the CST option like the Ferrari's. "Commit Suicide... Training" as JC puts it. Personally I think if he managed to get it sideways with traction control on either his entry speed to the round about was excessive or the traction control wasn't aggressive enough. ABS yes, you can stop faster without it but the vast majority of road users have absolutely no knowledge of skid control. Personally I prefer driving without ABS but its not that big a deal to drive around it. Porsche Cup cars ran world wide with ABS for many years.
  24. Theres plenty of us that go to the track and do it legally but its always the same guys every time and we rarely see more than a handful of new guys... usually not people that have been doing it illegally. They reopened lakeside in Queensland so they've given us an opportunity up here to prove our point. The continued bitching does not prove anything and you know as well as I do you're just using it to justify what you're doing to other enthusiasts. Hell you live in NSW. No other state has more open race tracks than NSW! What more do you want? The track time is available and affordable so don't use it as an excuse.
  25. Err well it is able to be disabled so I see it more as a driver aid, I wouldn't support it if it was compulsory. It'll stop the ditzy "oh i pushed the accelerator instead of the brake" crashes. I have found when driving falcons, because the pedal is so sloppy you find yourself suddenly doing 15+ over the limit. I just drive them on the cruise control because the pedal feel is so poor.
