Thanks Tom. Actually the more I think about it that makes sense. The original coil springs are just too soft so as long as I use stiffer springs and a swaybar without the leaf I should be fine. I was starting to get worried I couldn't lower this thing. It has already been lowered in the back with reset leafs so I want it matching ;)

I went and looked at this thing with my brother, nice little car once you tidy it up!! It has more rust in it than I thought. I must not have looked hard enough. It looks to have a good paint job so I think the guy just didn't prep it well enough or something :yes: Good luck with it I thought it had lots of potential ;)

Ok so can someone explain to me what the leaf actually does... Pros and Cons of removing it altogether? ;)

I'm one of those people who hate people who start build threads with all these plans and nothing ever happens. I would prefer to keep them to myself until they do happen. I will say though I would like to base it on something similar to the Orange KE10 on Club4ag.com. That look/theme has not been done to my knowledge in Australia so it will be something to behold if I can pull it off. In the meantime though I am just going to run some redrilled 14's so I can run better tyres than the 12 inch pizza cutters ;)

I got into the back of it to stick the rego sticker on, and I fit well in there and I ain't small!!! I love the fact it's so small, can just about park it anywhere ;) As Troy said I have some wicked plans for this thing, but I don't reveal anything in case they don't happen. I have to start finding some parts though and definitely a 5K, even though the 3K is healthy the slowness is already getting to me :yes:

Hey Cheers for the PM too!! Actually I have some post-it notes on my desk which are a similar colour :( It can't be called Daisy because my old one somehow had that name given to it by my wife not that I used it. The reason I changed to this car was because of the style, the more and more I looked at these and and then my AE71, I realised how much more stylish these little things are so I had to do it. :P

So I sold my AE71 last night and had already placed a deposit on my new addition, a little yellow KE11. The KE11 will be used as a cruiser/daily through this Summer whilst I look patiently for another daily. I didn’t want to rush out and buy a crap daily that I would regret buying so this thing should tide me over for a bit. The KE still has the 3K which appears to be in really good condition, and overall this car is a very tidy unit. The KE will then be hidden away for a while during the colder months and brought out again late next year when the weather is good again. I actually can’t believe the weekend’s weather we are going to have here, awesome to get the KE out in. I have some plans for the KE but as always will just see how things pan out. I am very happy with my purchase and can’t wait to get home now I have the rego sorted and take the thing for a decent drive!!!!!! Some pics These pics are all from the previous owners ad so I will get some new ones to add in here once I get a chance. Enjoy Oh and any suggestions for a name would be great. I thought of something to do with lemons but you usually associate the word lemon with a crap car :P

Ben, yes it is a killer car, glad I sold my AE71 to someone who could come up with the cash quick enough so I could snatch this up :P

It is that yellow KE11 that Yoda was selling and I pick it up tonight, a fairly overrated car for it's age I couldn't pass it up. Yes my AE71 is sold. Funny cos when I rang Shannons I spoke to a guy called Dave who must be a mate of yours and was telling me all about how you were sending him pics of this event etc. He was a cool guy to deal with and far out the price of insurance is awesome and their approach to these old girls is refreshing!!! This will be used as a daily over Summer and I have already found some 14" steelies and Crown hubbies for it. I need to get in touch with this "Frank" guy so I can get my steelies redrilled, any help would be great :party:

Is it just me or is Friday the 9th. I will register my new machine and bring that. I don't expect it will break any land speed records though, not yet anyway :D

sorry but there is nothng sex spec about a boxy corolla A pink BMW on 20's that chicks would cream all over before they get in, that is sex spec and I get why that is done. Not my thing no, but I get it, it gets the chicks :lol: Just don't make a mess on the leather seats, oh but wait most sex spec BMW's are cloth clad 318's :D Mate, keep this one clean and tidy as it deserves it. This thread can be closed now as this car has been sold to be picked up this Thursday. I have a few ideas on a replacement and am waiting for a response to an offer. Will start a new rides thread when I have a new car. :)

It was wicked, I love being able to walk out my lounge room go onto the front porch and watch it!!! Some of the cars were giving it some stick this year too which is good to see ;) The No. 99 MG was my favourite, only because he was giving it some real curry on the Saturday and it sounded tits :)

JIP I hate you!! :) I had one of those in as overrated condition as that, same colour and all and some stupid person decided that having a fight with their partner was more important than stopping and boom, shortened mine in the rear by a few inches. :)

I don't think it is weird at all, I am having very impure thoughts about that car :) In all seriousness though it is just so full of awesome :)
