Cool man love what you have done to them then :) Like I said each to their own :y:

Each to their own I guess, in my opinion it just makes it harder for those who drive clean 70's as we get pulled over anyway due to all the ghetto ones :) Keep them clean if you want to keep them on the road :y:

I wonder about this mystical thing called power steering. The other day I was driving my sister's AE82 Seca with the sweet mother of 4AC under the bonnet when it occurred to me that the steering was quite light. I peered under the bonnet to notice power steering. I couldn't help but notice that it made the drive a little more comfortable and effortless, more so than my AE71. The only thing it lacked was the distinct rawness of feedback through the steering wheel letting you know what is happening :) So I ponder the question about power steering in a xE7x?? 1. Has it been done by anyone? 2. How?? If not, how can it be done. I think you would have to have a 4AGE for something like this as most of them have the power steering pump, mounts etc but just wondered if it were possible. I just thought I would open this one up for discussion :y:

You can always put a 5M in it but I doubt it would be worth the work as the upgrade wouldn't be much. A mate of mine just put a 5M in his MX32 Cressida as the old 4M had a blown head!! His MX32 was also far too nice to be cutting up for any other types of conversions :y: Good on you for not sacrificing it for some big power house conversion :)

I'm guessing you changed the grill, looks 10 million times better. Oh and I replied to your PM :)

Lose the bonnet scoop :) :y:

What is the fascination with all you kids ghetto-ing up every possible KE70 you can get your hands on?? :y: I just don't get it :)

I will nominate mine for the xE7x spot, with a good wash and polish and some good photography I think it could be good enough. It is not a normal xE7x look though :P
-
HAHAHA so true. My AE71 is much the same as yours Instigator :P I like them clean and tidy with 4AGE just to make them that bit more enjoyable to drive. I'd like to think mine was worth a bit over $4K

Spotted said beaten up KE25 in Mitcham the other day, guy driving it looked like such a mong :P

Sorry to butt in, but there is a good thread on how to do this on Toymods. You use RT142 discs and calipers and mod them to fit your T series diff. Doesn't look too hard :P

Mine was the silver 20 valve rolla!! :P I like the way you have done your rims :P You would get more money in parts for this thing rather than as a whole car. It's sad but true :P
-
Umm don't know sorry... Was it leaking? If not I wouldn't worry about just put it all back together. You can always pop your tailshaft out quickly another day to replace it. Tailshaft is only four bolts to the diff and two to the body in the middle section.

Are you wanting to sell this item?? What would be the postage to send this one to Adelaide??

With the release bearing you should be able to hit it on the inside with a screwdriver or similar and it will start to pry apart from the bearing carrier. It really doesn't matter how you do it so long as you don't damage the bearing carrier part. If you damage the bearing it is no worry as you are replacing it anyway. I don't think I was very careful when I did mine :) However, this is important... When you put the new one on you need to press it on quite hard. I found the best way is to get a socket that is same size as the inside lip of the bearing and hit it with a hammer to get it on. Don't hit anywhere else on the bearing otherwise you have just screwed the bearing and will need a new one :y:

I have a 20 V running a Microtech LT10S. I am not much for the technical side of things in terms of tuning etc but can give some feedback. Idle Control Valve does not work with the LT10S, and this has been the experience with two 20 V motors now in RWD form. Not a big issue as the Microtech can control the idle but mine tends to idle at 1120RPM most of time and only occasionally at the 1000RPM which is it is supposed to idle at. Cold Start Function does not work. A simple thing you might say but unless you keep the revs up when getting out the driveway when cold it will stall. Some mornings I find myself stalling it 3 times before I get going. Once you are driving though it is no issue. Starting for the rest of the day is quite good :y: These are only small things from my experience. You would want to check what other ECU's can do in terms of the above as it will make the overall driveability of the car much better. There also might be better operators of Microtech that can overcome the above issues. :)

What suspension are you running currently?? Shocks/Springs?? I am interested as I am doing a bit more to mine now, finding it still does not have enough grip or turn in :)

I have seen this thing in Adelaide driving around. My advice, keep the S13 stock rims on it. Police won't even look twice at it. I know I didn't except for the fact that I knew what was in it. Even my missus commented on the fact that it doesn't draw attention :y: Keep it stock looking mate, Police are hot onto these KE's in Radelaide due to all the 17 year old wannabe drift kings  :)

I'm with you Smeetsy, this is on hotty pattotty!! :) Love the pop out windows and two door :y:

If you really are that poor then don't bother with this conversion. There is far more to it than just the pedal box :P

A few people have done the T series rear end with leaf springs :rolls: I had a T series on my Sprinter with 180rwkw. It lasted, whined lots, but lasted. If I drove it very hard all day every day though I have a feeling it wouldn't have lasted. It depends on your driving style, etc. If you want to drive hard all the time a T series won't cut it :P

If I am right I reckon this is an SA car, in which case we don't have RWC or anything like that prior to sale. Did this car get wired at Buddyparts? If so I am bang on the money and know which one it is :P There was a car VERY similar to this when my car was dropped off there. :rolls:
-
Where you located?? I reckon upwards of $3K, you can't even build that kind of motor for much less than that :P

Another question... What are you doing to sort out the corner weight issue, like as in how can you overcome these sorts of things ??
