  1. Cheers for all the comments guys  I am stoked with the car, it turned out exactly how I wanted it to
  2. I vote for keeping the original strip but moving it a few cms higher to avoid the clash with the front flare :hmm: Those other stick on strips do not look as good. You could do some chops I guess with one of them on but I think the factory strip looks best  f*ck I love this car
  3. No he really wants to sell this wagon to me
  4. Hey Trav when you coming to Adelaide?? I was thinking we should organise a "Trav is here Rollaclub Cruise" to welcome you to our town and show you some of our awesome roads. I am happy to take you in my car too so you can see what all the fuss of 4AGE is about
  5. Please do, I think Rollaclub needs to have another cruise, get everyone out and about again

Lucky boy... I was going to talk to you about the trumpets at the cruise but figured you wouldn't want to talk about this car. Are you interested to look again now you have the car back?
  7. Update - got new springs in and finally gave it a decent bath and got the camera out! It didn't turn out as low as I had hoped but I guess it still won't grab too much attention from 5-0, oh and it handles 10 x better  Please don't all say to lower it more, that will be it for now. Plan is to enjoy it as a daily/hills driver and eventually go all out with track days, etc.
  8. My Corolla, finally getting the pay off and enjoyment I deserve after a long time working on it and being very patient. Seriously, the weekend just gone I drove it so much, and it just continues to deliver :sob: I am absolutely loving my Corolla at the moment, it turned out exactly how I wanted it to, and more :sob:
  9. I did not see one fellow RC member... what is happening lately? :sob:
  10. Cruise was good, weather and traffic failed really.... If the weather was good the hills section would have been much fun :sob:

HAHA I know you don't have much love for the KE70's. Since mine is in such tidy nick I just want to keep it that way, with just the engine upgrade and the wheels and slight lowering. Since you seen it that day it has been lowered a little :jamie: I saw your wagon yesterday morning going up Cross Roads about 11:30 am. I was in my daily Mazda so incognito :sob: I was going to toot but the Mrs goes crazy when I do Also spotted a yellow KE70 wagon on Belair Road that looked tough. After spotting all the Rollas I went home and got mine out for a drive yesterday then, Spotted Nickyboy outside his house checking out my rig :sob:
  12. Yep I'll see you there I guess :sob:

fark.... will keep an eye out mang :y: People, please check stuff before you buy it second hand. If it stinks like shit then it usually is
  14. You can take your $50 and shove it :y: I'm joking mang!! I had plenty of cars while I was living at home, I'm also nearly 10 years older than you Trav
  15. Matt, damn right I am in the hills and loving it. Realistically I have had the car on the road now for two weeks. Good things will happen when money and time allows. After waiting six months, at the moment all I am doing is enjoying driving it :y: Upper Sturt Road in the morning is going to be sweet with some suspension mods. I don't know about everyone else but mortgage, house etc comes first and toys second. In the last week I have received about $1500 worth of bills for our house and investment property. There goes $1500 that could have gone somewhere on the Rolla. Matt, I will come past your work on Saturday morning, hope your around so I can show you. I have to come past that way anyway so thought I would drop in
  16. I have put in 6 kg front springs and 4.5 kg rear today. I do not have the money for coilovers yet and really they are only necessary if you want and need adjustability. I don't at this stage! I want to perform each mod at a time, assess what it does and gradually add to it. I have given consideration to XT130 LCA's however the camber looks quite obvious from the front and I don't really want extra attention from the 5-0. I am curious as to why you have camber tops and XT130's? ;) I have done this thing on a tight ass budget so all good things will come in time  So yes, I have done some of the things you said :y: Thanks for the feedback and the tips mate :y: Have you got yours on the road?? Would love to see it some time
  17. I love how you say I have no need for the RWD side of things  As this build evolves so will the use of the car. At this stage I have a fairly standard drivetrain but a different engine. Whilst the car is in such tidy condition I will use it as my daily etc. When I have another daily things will get a little more serious. You might say I could have saved money... what about what I learnt from this build? I did the majority of it myself ;) What's the point in having a car you can only skid or grip drive? If I upgrade some suspension and brakes I should be able to take it to a grip day having driven it there and back all the while with the comforts of a full interior etc. Not every xE7X has to be built for the track :y:

That would be mine Philbey. I was picking up the wife from work
  19. prob best to pm me your mobile no. I am having a wheel alignment done in the morning then other stuff on so not sure I can make it to meet yet.
  20. This should prob be in SA Section, but nevertheless, they are a car club with a variety of different cars doing what most people with cars enjoy, hanging out
  21. Lowered springs going in tonight, along with new wheel alignment  I will put up pics soon of it's new ride height :y:

I see this thing almost everyday on my way home from work and I wave or toot to him all the time. Guy must not be into rollas, think I'm weird, or just not care. He never waves back!!! I am guessing he is also not on here :y:
  23. It just needs an ID check to check the chassis and engine numbers match what was previously registered elsewhere. Also the ID checks if the car has been deemed a write off previously or is reported stolen elsewhere. If at the ID check they decide you need a full roadworthy then you are up for a full inspection. If anything stands out on your car it is best to fix it so they don't decide to send you for the full roadworthy. What sort of car is it? I went and had mine done first thing Monday morning, at 7am. The guy seriously couldn't be stuffed as he had hardly woken up and therefore he didn't have much of a look at my car past the engine numbers and chassis numbers. I guess the same thing could be said for last thing on a Friday.
  24. I never got back to you via PM but if you want to meet somewhere in Blackwood I would be cool with that :)
