I'll be there :bash:

This is the not the first time your views have been challenged in this thread, and it probably won't be the last. As Felix said if you don't want people to comment, don't post it up here :y: I have plenty of things in my life that grind my gears from family to work, but some of them are not suitable for here :bash:

I'm going to guess that since the prefix for the engine no. is different it may get picked up at Regency. Eg. you are going from 4Kxxxx to 5Kxxxx Then again you may get a dipshit on the phone and they will allow it. Personally I wouldn't take the chance. What Police Officer is going to be able to tell the difference between a 4K and a 5K? Hell, they were busy looking for a blow off valve on my NA Supra :bash:

Well I did some more work to it over the weekend in preparation for the tune this week. I fitted my thermofan again as the fitting tabs that came with it were appalling and it nearly fell off while I was driving. I bought a fitting kit from Repco and it is now snug. I had originally ran it without the thermostat in but in order to tune I will need it to get up to operating temp. I installed the thermostat with the gasket that was supplied with the fitting. As soon as I started it the gasket blew itself to pieces and I lost a whole lot of coolant all over the driveway :bash: Also since the thermostat was installed there was some backpressure and this unveiled a whole lot of leaks in my radiator hose fitment which did not show before without all the pressure. I have re-installed my thermostat, thrown a whole lot of sealant around the fitting and I will wait til tonight to run it again. I have also tightened all the radiator hoses where there were leaks so hoping tonight when I start it I won't lose the whole lot again. I really want to have the cooling system 100% before I get the tune. :y:

We had a "classy" buffet style at our wedding with a choice of three different meat dishes, vegies, salads etc. Everyone lapped it up and I don't recall there being any stories of trips to Macca's on the way home. Think about the people you are inviting and what they would want to eat. So many people just organise a wedding with food even they would not want to eat. For an example my old man is a meat and three veg type of guy, so he was catered for. Things like this make the event easier for everyone. Just as an indication, it was $75 per head plus alcohol. You cannot get away with not telling them it is for a wedding, tried that and it doesn't work :bash: Be upfront, and go to places that don't normally specialise in weddings as they tend to be better priced and more inclined to want to impress :y:

To save people some time you do not need to remove the dash pad :bash:

Yep there is a little resistor box that has a resistor for each individual speed on your fan. You can buy one from a wrecker for about $10 and just check that all the resistors look ok. When you buy it also ask them where it is located so you know where to remove it from in yours and swap over. In one of my cars it was below the glovebox panel. This was also a Toyota. Hint: Once it is working do not touch it as they get hot mighty quick :bash:

Nice to see someone prepared to spend good money on quality suspension components. Your life is worth far too much to be chopping springs etc. Just a shame that you haven't gotten around to sorting out the engine though... Read my build thread if you want any convincing about 20V :rolla: I haven't driven it properly yet still needs a tune but I know it will be awesome.

Somethind Different - F20c Vtec In Ae82

Maybe if it was an AE82 hatchback it would be a touch better, but only a touch :rolla: -
+ 1 I worked for a family business, worst mistake ever. Sure some of them are probably fine but in this family business you were expected to have as much passion for it as them, and work as many hours. The only difference between the owners and me is that I didn't enjoy the profits they did, and all the luxuries that went with it. Funnily enough they never saw it that way though :rolla:

Usually yes, sorry extra sensitive at the moment this car is driving me insane :rolla:

Update Saturday came and went and I did not get to pick up the car. Last night (Thursday night) I picked up the car and drove it home. It is currently running on the Microtech Base Map and it is so rich it's not funny. Anyway some pics - Fuel System - lift pump needs to be rubber mounted, way too loud Some pics of the exhaust - stock as can be officer :hmm: Final engine bay pics, it is running here Steam coming from the exhaust, it is alive Going in to be tuned at another workshop next week after new trumpets are fitted, etc. Hopefully I can sink the boot in next weekend. Even with it running so rich it still has good pickup, and the induction noise is boneriffic :rolla: You can't hear the exhaust, just the induction and I love it

Yeah seems to be a few bad accidents up that way of late.... what is going on?? :P

This whole thread does not make much sense at all. Think, slow down and type what it is you actually want to know. When we know what you want, maybe we will be able to help. Such details as what kind of car you are putting it in, etc will help to create some better answers for you :P

I am running a 20 Valve in an AE71 with a Microtech LT10S with the X4 Igniter Box All runs ok, except it will not work with the factory tacho dash. The tacho worked perfectly before the Microtech was installed. There is some suggestion by the person who installed the ECU that my tacho is stuffed but I will have to check to rule this out. Has anyone had this problem before and what was the workaround?? Is it possible to have the factory tacho working? I have the Microtech Dash Display which has tacho function so not overly fussed but I like when things "just work". Also, any tips on where to take it in SA to get it looked at? Thanks Luke

20v conversion is expensive, just check my ride thread. Go the 16V if it is only a get around til you go SR :P

I'm thinking it won't cost that much to put the 7AGE in there, and can lend a helping hand. Keep this thing looking hell stock from the outside, it deserves it :P
-
It needs flappers, venetian, all the grandma accessories you can find + your 7AGE... what a sleeper :P

T3 website says 75mm..... oops I had no idea they were that long. Here is hoping they fit!! You almost ruined my buzz/excitement of my purchase LRS :P I remember you saying I could fit a smaller brake booster from another model so that might be an option also. I will see how they go when they get here, otherwise I will keep my old set on until I can make them work. I had ideas that the work and money for this car was going to stop, but since it is now running my mind is working overtime on all sorts of brake upgrades, diff upgrades, and the like. :P My wife is going to kill me ;)

Spotted a Orange Late KE20 on Beach Road Christies at lunch time today with a cute girl driving. I am not sure what was better her or the car :P I also saw this the other day driving up the freeway, and it was doing well at 100 up the steep part before the tunnels :P
