It relates to a person from NS (nissansilvia) who committed suicide. It is supposed to be in his memory and all that and to create awareness of youth suicide. Personally I think people have the sticker more to be like everyone else than for it's real meaning but that's just the way I roll.

In one of the front pics the wheels were not straight so it looks a bit munted. I will get the guards rolled and pulled to cover the wheels with some camber at the front to pull them ones in a little.
-
Well after some trial fitting I am happy with the Superlights. Will fit with the look I want perfect but yes some guard work is in order!!! Pics are crap because it is dark out there but you get the idea.

14" adrenalins are only $125 if you are shopping at the right place. Best tyre ever imho for the type of money you pay

My lil brother in law is on the hunt for a 20 now, every time I see him he goes on and on about yours, so soon there will be 2 20's in your street  That street will be full of old school cool soon

well I have not seen many Series 2, but maybe people didn't buy them coz they made an ugly car even uglier

I'm going to see if I can bring out the KE11 for this......

My crown hubbies arrived in the post so I gave them a polish up and some pics. I think I need to polish them a little more so they come up a bit shinier. They have to be better than the 12" I have on now. Just have to get my Celica steelies redrilled and some tyres fitted. Also, my pair of Superlights turned up today, nothing like brand new rims!!!! I am going to try them on later tonight

f@$k yeah Nick love it

Are these things made out of glass or something? Between yours and Lesley's all i seem to read about is continual fixing. Hope it's worth it

I read somewhere that Sumitomo make a 14" tyre with whitewall already done on it for around $100 a tyre. That will save you a bit as whitewalls are what $100 for a set now on top of the price of the tyres already.

Thanks mate!! I bought a new addition to the stable yesterday, a 1984 Ford Laser with only 110,000 ks on it. Owned by a Grandma from new, full service history, in the end she didn't drive it much anymore so she sold it to me. The cars name is Larry. I will put up some pics of Larry tonight, he drives like new

Tom, legality of this is not really something I am going to worry about. I didn't with my last car so why would I start now, just got to keep it subtle on the street and run the risk, alot cheaper than proper engineering at least in this state

Cheers for the offer of help Tom I'll definitely get you to help me with the coilovers. As soon as I have measured them I will order the Otomoto kit in the right size.4 I'm getting excited about all this stuff!!! :)
-
Tom, I have been getting curious about the coilover idea, but what diameter is the strut insert for the KE1x?? The Otomoto ones only come in specific diameters, or is there something you can do to sort this. Also, I wondered if I could source some cusco adjustable camber tops from a TE27 (same as KE20) so then I can run some neg camber on the front to bring the wheels in a little. Or should I just adjust the lower control arms pick up point which I have read about in other threads also.

Look out for my KE11 nowadays Ben, I go past your way every day on my way to work at Holden at Elizabeth. Such a fail working for Holden when I can't stand them but work pays. I make sure I rep my Toyota window shade in the Holden Staff Carpark though :)

I saw a Hazelnut coloured late KE20 today on Main North Road out at Lizbef :y: Was in good nick and an old dude driving it. Also keep spotting a mustard KE30 low and minty looking around Golden Grove way, gave you the thumbs up today when I was in the 11. It looks like ANDY.H?? :y:

Cheers for doing all this research and hard work on the front suspension Henry, I am going to copy this setup for the front of my 11. I just need some KE20 top spring hats and I am set, picking up some gabriel inserts tomorrow. Your KE11 is going to look wild lowered and the extra handling has to be a good thing :y:

Hey Will I am guessing you got your hubbys from KE11restorer... I had same issues with him, took over a month from payment to receiving them. I only got them sent when I threatened to take it to an Admin. Funny the post date on the box is the same date he received that PM from me. My hubbies were in reasonable condish though, a few dents but not as big as the one you have there. They were a bit pricey considering the dent you have in that one :y:

Long time no update - I have been very busy with our baby arriving and also starting a new job!! :y: I now work at Holden at Elizabeth  I have ordered/purchased the following for the KE11 lately: 1 pair of Performance Superlites in 13 x 7 -7 charcoal centres with polished lip - 4 x 110 pcd as I figure I will leave the rears in 4 x 110 1 set of extractors for the 3K - don't look like they will fit bugger it 1 set of Crown Hubcaps I am going to run my 14 inch steelies and crown hubcaps for more regular driving and put the Superlites on every now and then (provided they fit). I bought the Superlites in a pair only as if they are not going to work I can sell the pair rather than having a set to get rid of. If they work I will run the same size all round but run them in 4 x 114.3 PCD on the front as that will give me more options for brakes etc I am doing research into suspension options for the front end so I can lower it, there has been some good stuff on here about it of late so it looks like some of the work is being done for me. My alternator has decided to work again. I drove the KE for the first time in 4 weeks today and damn I am in love all over again :y:
-
It seems like I have fixed the ignition issues. Nevertheless I went and bought a new rotor button, condensor, dizzy cap etc the other day which I will fit this weekend. Looks like my alternator is on the way out too, and that is the reason for the hard cold starting. The charge light flashes. The battery is not getting enough charge. When I use jumper leads it will start in the morning first crank. Otherwise it is a whole lot of slow cranking to get it going. I have a few weeks off from today so I will be addressing all these little issues.

I saw this in the flesh on Sunday parked on Hutt Street. Looks the goods. Troy you have a skill of making stuff look good  I always thought you couldn't polish a turd but now I am starting to wonder
-
That's not too bad price I was expecting it to be worse. Though I did sell my completed 20V AE71 for $4500  What sort of ideas do you want, you sound like you have the right ideas already. Do you want tips on how to get it running etc?

Tail shaft rear half will have to be KE. AE and KE tailshafts are different
