  1. Looking great Ben, Keep the progress pics coming. Definately get the whole car done in primer before you paint it. Can't wait to see it. :jamie: Cheers, Mark. ;)
  2. Yeah there is another drift series at symmons this weekend :jamie:
  3. Hi, the clutch horn rubber is the rubber part that goes in the firewall were the adjustment is. Also the cable hasn't streached by any chance.
  4. here is a pic of the accelerator linkage
  5. Hi, here is a pic of the back
  6. I know that these are not dellorto's but the setup should be similiar
  7. That's a sweet ride. ;) This was on ebay wasn't it????? It had only $1000 on it aswell, I just love the granny spec one's and a ke25 makes it even better. Definately keep it original. Cheers. ;)
  8. Mazda 626 rims fit on ke20's as I have a set on one of mine, but they are 13's.
  9. I reckon you shouldn't lower it, as they look to low and doesn't really suit them. Just go with a venetian and some whitewalls and she will look very tidy.
  10. OMG that's an absolute minter ke10, I can't believe that you only paid $600 for it.  :P :y: Was the owner on drugs when he sold it for that little amount??? It would be worth at least $1500-$2000. That's the score of the century. Well done  :)
  11. Hi, try and find a ke55 or ke70 corolla as these had internal regulators.
  12. Hi rob I am not selling any of these as one is in my car, one has a broken gear and is for spares, and the other one is for spares also. :D cheers, Mark :S
  13. Hi mate, I would definately keep it 100% original. Paint it the same colour, put some whitewall tyres on it and don't mess with it, as original cars are worth a bit. :) These are very rare and would turn a few heads still in it's original restored state. :bash: Cheers.
  14. Ke55 gearbox
  15. Hi all, I have 3 gearboxes here and they are all different. One is a ke55 5 speed with the 3 switches on top of the box, the other one only has the reverse switch on top and the final one is a smooth case gearbox and only has the reverse switch on top, but has bolts screwed in the places instead of the extra two switches. They all have the gearstick in the forward position. :bash: :) Smooth case only has reverse switch and has different shape cluth fork to other 2
  16. Can you tell both Leigh and I were abouts in tassie are you because we also are in tassie and are keen corolla owners. :P :fuzz:
  17. Hi guy's Tazrx and Philbo are 100% wrong with the way that they think that the mixture screw works to make the car richer or leaner. I had a look in a corolla k series work shop manual and another manual and both say the same thing. QUOTE: Turning the mixture screw in a clockwise (IN) direction gives a leaner mixture, and anti-clockwise(OUT) gives a richer mixture. Next time you have your car idling, just screw the mixture screw in all the way(clockwise) and I bet you anything that it will stall the car, as this cuts off the amount of fuel going into the carby. :hmm: :( :( Just read it for yourself in the fuel section of your workshop manual. :) (Y) :y: :y:
  18. All carby's are the same.
  19. In = lean because it cuts the fuel out= rich because it lets more fuel in :hmm: :)
  20. Both cars have original cables, but the one with the 5 speed box originally had a 4 speed and it seemed okay then. Also I tried getting new cables and couldn't.
  21. Hi, i was wondering if the k40 and k50 gearboxes had different clutch forks. Because i have 2 ke20 corolla's, one has the standard 3k and 4 speed gearbox and the clutch pedal comes out from the floor about halfway before it takes up which seems alright. As the other ke20 has a 5k 5 speed and a new excedy heavy duty clutch and it is on the last adjustment notch on the cable and the pedal only comes out from the floor about 1 inch before it takes up  and both cars have about 1 1/2 inches of free play in the pedal and both have play at the box. So i was wondering if anyone has come across this before and have any ideas. :P
  22. Thanks guys for your seat recommendations, but I am only after seats that I can pull out of another car, I'm not really after race style seats. I want a bit of an idea, so when I go around the local wreckers, I know what car to look for. eg. corolla, mazda etc Please keep all your replies coming. Thanks. :D :D
  23. Hi all, I am in the process of changing my front seats out of my daily driver ke20, and would like to know what kind of seats fit without to much trouble. Mine have lost most of it's foam stuffing and it feels like your sitting on the floor, so I would like some comfortable seats with some sideways support, just rember being a two door, that the back part has to fall forward as I need access to the rear seat for passengers. :D Cheers, Mark. :D :fuzz:
  24. Hi there rob, I am running twin 40mm sidedraught webers, mild cam, electronic ignition, thermo fan and fairly high comp. It goes very well and can keep up and overtake a lot of newer cars. ;) 5k's aren't all that common, there are no mods either to put one into your ke20, and look the same as 3k's but are 1500cc instead of 1200cc. I would highly recommend puting one into your ke20, they are even better with a 5-speed, especially on the open road. :( interior pics and engine bay pics would be great. :jamie: Keep us posted on your progress. ;)
  25. Here is a pic of my other ke20 which has a 5k 5speed. You might think you are seeing double but these are two seperate cars. ;)
