  1. Should put the ghosts to work on your 70 man they'll get it done in no time ;) :P
  2. I have been plodding away at the little things that have been annoying me with this car.... So far I have changed the front door cards from the flu ones to fairmont ones to remove the winder hole from the door card, when you swap them you need to put in these stupid 'scrivet' things.... Me being abit more ghetto and poor used corolla door handle doobys and bashed them in place and it works just as well :) Pics..... Also while the car is off the road I figured I'd have a look at the cam timing, which I know has moved cause it is A LOT slower than what it should be, so I got all the p/s, aircon pump, belt tensioner and alternator off it was just the harmonic balancer left to be removed..... So I set the engine at TDC, then set about pulling the harmonic balancer off, undid the crank bolt, got the balancer puller onto it and started undoing it only to find the balancer wasn't moving.... Afew hits with a 4lb hammer and tried again.... Still not moving :/ I cracked the Shits many many times and walked away from it then came back to it today and had another 30goes at it and it still wasn't moving so now I need to get a different style of puller to continue I really hate this car atm
  3. I like how you have mocked up your j pipe mate I would've never guessed to use toilet paper rolls as a 'dummy', keep up the good work bud its good to see someone actually taking time and doing abit of r&d
  4. My dream cars would be 1. Rolls Royce Phantom 2. Fc rx or rx3 3. Jza71 supra
  5. Pics of said ke? Most places will just write it off and give you just under market value for the car, specially if the rails have been moved, here in aus anyways, (at a guess i'm nit sure as I havn't had much to do with insurance companies and being crashed into)
  6. Hey guys seen this pic from streetcover.com's photo shoot of a jdmst meet in Penrith recently, and was wondering if anyone here owned them.....
  7. Wow the car certainly has abit of history aye, it should look tough when its finished mate
  8. All I wanted was a half just so i could feed my poor Mexican family!!! :P
  9. As above can I have half a magical bean?
  10. Ah I read the 5k part wrong and just concentrated on the symptoms..... Hydraulic lifters need to be primed every now and again try tagging the key Afew times before you start it, I have to do it in my falcon Afew times every now and again Edit: low oil pressure will cause no oil getting upto the top of the engine!!!
  11. DO EEEEETTTTTTT KHUNT!!!!!!!
  12. Please tell me the canadian club can is the air filter and not just sitting there
  13. The oil pressure sender will cause the oil light to come on when it feels like it, and you will need to adjust the tappets to stop them from being loud and noisey
  14. I don't know it will be enough to make the turbo sit just infront of the motor but also enough to be able to get the exhaust out the car aswell
  15. Just cause you have something isn't always a good idea to use it man, put the t5 back into the falcon and use another W series box I.e w55 or 57 from a hilux/Celica, plus I'm very sure the cressy's will use a hydraulic clutch which is a lot less mucking around then making a cable clutch setup work You would need to find someone to make a bellhousing for it either using the t5 bellhousing then cutting it and welding it to a w series bellhousing or vice versa.... Save some coin and get a w box soooo much less work involved, or sell the t5 setup to someone looking for a manual conversion for their ea-el falcon and make some money to put towards the cressida manual conversion Also why do you want to use a 7m in an mx73 when a j motor will go in just as easily?
  16. I am going to be doing the same thing but with abit of 2" exhaust pipe for the j pipe, plus ill have a T04e on a stock 4k so it wont see boost till late in the rev range, which doesn't phase me cause it will be good for highway driving too and keep fuel costs down a little bit haha
  17. Looks so stock like I said on fb man, looks good I'd leave it if it was me
  18. Wicked hopefully it turns out pretty good aye :) I have finally got a little bit of progress on this thing, I can now keep the bonnet open without fear of it falling on my head when working under there, it had no bonnet stand rod or bonnet latch on the car so I have fitted that and started to sand back a beaver panel I got off undertaker, cheers dude :)
  19. Hahahaha landcruiser is a good thing no coppers can get a rolley stick out and bash into stuff then..... And that mean no defects :P haha
  20. Yup it sucks aye if I had a shed all this insomnia would be awesome for this car but I don't so it goes to waste haha Edit : ʞ©$ɟ stupid m.I.n.t being changed
  21. Yeah I might not even need a jumper in there hahaha ;) , insomniac man i can't actually fall asleep till like 4am even if I force myself to try it still only takes an hour off
  22. Yeah bro that's the plan makeshift everything, if it will fit a falcon under it it will fit a corolla with a metric boatload of room enough to move around and not hit the car, will just get really hot when painting
  23. Yeah might be worth the investment, would like a car gazebo thing 1st but ;) so I could enclose it from the weather considering I can't use the shed :'(
  24. Lol yeah I know but its okay cause its a keto hahaha, this one not so much, ah ʞ©$ɟ it I'll leave it and just leave it in primer like the rest of the car will be
  25. Yeah I know I might just leave it in primer for the time being or just leave it all together hahaha
