I allmost love my little Frog, she is so ugly, that she is allmost adorable
And the Frog part...
Mine is a smallblock 2A with 3speed auto..
Here is my version for EFI sump.
New tank for TE71, cut about 30mm hole to bottom, weld sump. All done...
Only i don't recomend that bottom suction, because on older tank you have a lot shit in there, and your fuel filter is allways stuffed.
Seems like your clutch is not disconnecting correctly.
T-50 is not a crappy box and it takes a lot abuse, when it isnt allready broken or needing for maitenance.
If example your synchro is worn out because of over 300 000km on box or with some stupid usage, it's no way fault of g-box
Noisy is nice for certain point, but too loud is just stupid.
For street car i like more kinda quiet killer mode :rocknroll:
But what ever turns you on :P
Allso late TE71 and TA60 have same box than AE86.
I wouldn't use any close ratio g-box at serious racing, where 5th gear is still overdrive.
Normally 5th gears can be converted to 1st gear and then yoy have "5th gear" 1:1. Alltho you have stupid H-pattern, where you have to start from stock 5th gear location as it's the new 1st gear.
Can be modified to use normal H-pattern, but that is expensive :S
I'll stick with my close ratio T-40 :)
T-50 with close ratio gears is proven to hold 250hv at rally useage.
W-series weight way too much :) No need for those, if you arent seeking over 300Nm torque.
Ps. Gearbox is not broken, if your synchros are worn out, it just needs maitenance :S
I asked them: http://www.prothane.com/
It would been 50usd for shipping and handling to europe/finland.
But i found an importer here that made better deal, so didnt have to order overseas :D
It is good price, it allso includes 2 different size swaybar bushings for each end.
Ummm... The mighty slant six :y: But go and look under Datsun KGT hood, there you find a copy of the same engine. I wish Toyota would have turned the engine at same side. No more hasle with starter then. :hammer:
Ps. couple pics of my back and frontyard today.
