How meny do you want? :)
-
Thats huge, it would make a nige belt or 10 pairs of boots :)
-
gimme gimme! Prothane poly bushes did not include rack to crossmember bushes, so i would need those for KE70. All else came with AE86 total kit :) Edit: David did you install AE86 rear arm bushes in KE70? Because in my TE71 the bushes were not replaceable like AE86 have. They were moulded straight to the arm.
-
It's a T-series 6.7" rear. The weakest part of powertrain is the gear that tranfers power to rear axle... dunno what you call it. :)
-
The AE95 sedan looks just like a EE90 or AE92 Euro spec fwd sedan. No hatch ever made 4wd. AE95 sportswagon has same front end shap than EE90 ro AE92 liftback. The AE95 is called Corolla here in europe, but have seen same car called as tercel in asia. Engine is 4A-F or later 4A-FE. Rearaxle is "same" as AE86, but with drums and 2.9:1 final ratio :) And for the weakness... Well proven to hold an assault of 300hp engine at drag strip :)

Thanks mate. First! Connect the carbie wire to battery positive(or originally it goes to alternators relay, see if there is about 5cm wire, that goes nowhere) OR if you have the old engines carbie? From there you can take a plug what replaces the solenoid. And if it still wont start... clean the points(with clean paper or something) and check if they surelly ground the coil.
-
Engine groundings? Wire ok from dizzy to coil negative? Are u sure points connect when closed? And you are sure it's the ignition you are after... Are u using 2K or 3K carbie? The euro spec 2K and old 3K didnot have the idle stop solenoid, but newer carbies have it... You know what I'm talking about?

Horrible to watch mate. Wasnt real spikes allowed? :)

We never got the GT or TE72 either and our ALL 1600cc models were TE71. sedan, coupe and liftback :) Toyota has a group 1 FIA homologation for TE71 GT, that shows what it has in it, or just take a peak at euro spec EPC  it inholds the GT too.
-
Do you have to keep it as stock, or can you make a GT out of it? European TE71 (coupe, sedan and liftback(that i assume yours is)) had same 6,38" rear with somekinda weird lsd looking open differential. Housing was with 2 or 4 dif gears and had viscous type washer plates to improve grip. Well.. works better than compleatly open dif, but is no way a lsd  But to get to the point... TE71 GT had 6.7" rear and 2T-G engine. And if you can change it, your life just become a lot easier... :)

Yes closed system at rego, but no way hell to make engine run :) I made 2T with bosch injection(dumped straight to air) then i added turbo to it and same story. No worries, even i ran with stock 2.0l opel ECU with fingered AFM and water temp sensor. This is the shit bucket I'm referring to.

Filter or not, but never back to the engine. Thats how i allways have done it. Why go mess all carbie or EFI presetted mixtures with whatever fumes and i like my inlet ports clean better than black  HI-PE Boys at 1/8mile monsters use vacum pump to underpressurize crankcase. You can allso do it by inslalling a injector pipe to back of your exhaust and suck the fumes out trough pcv(from some bigger engine, not stock 3K vent). They seal the block from air to getting INside... :)

Then all you need is powah :jamie: I assume your sweetie weights allready about 700-750kg :D
-
How about fiberclass on hood, doors, fenders and trunk lid. Polycarbonate on all windows. lighter rollcage(aluminium or cromo steel)
-
Forget the aluminium, use good old steel like fellow of mine here in Finland http://jalanen.photosite.com/Album2/IMG_0413.html Respect to those who earn it :D

The rear coilovers are at loan, I'm takin measures, and make new tubes. Shocks are plain rallye Bilstains and threaded tube slided over them. Body is ready to race, rollcages and fourlinks and all reinforcements i need  Rear strut towers are adjustable and some view of rollcage, wich in front goes all the way to front towers. Wheel arches are modified, rear floor pan is modified to axxept Dana30 axle. Now waiting for front poly bushes, chromo rods and aurora rod ends to come, that i can finalice my 4-links and watt links. Next thing is to get it on four wheels and go measure some corner weights to determine suitable springs for gravel and snow. :D Then i go and cut the roof out and weld new staight to it. Then some paint... Sponsers decided that its going to be all orange, but... maybe it needs some panda look :jamie:
-
You cut a hole in the floor and drop the cage through. don't weld any non nessesary before you have welded all those seems you have to weld at top side. some examples of good rollcages. http://www.akk-motorsport.fi/saannot/Saann...s/LiiteJ3_1.jpg

Sidenote: In what position did you tighten the lower arms to x-member? You should done this at wehicle on 4 wheels at normal ride height... Just making sure =)
-
Carbies are Delloto 36mm aftermarket bike ones with accelerator pump. Ignition is Compufire wasted spark for WV Beatle. Just cut pasted 4K dizzy and Bosch 009
-
4K only if it's under some class distriction or something... We made few racing engines to our starlets from 4K. 149hp from wheel at this baby:
-
Yes, i've seen it. Not much progres lately tho..
-
I've been dreaming about Lex v8 1UZ-FE in KE26 for a while... The hybrid part would be TH700 R4 tranny with manual shift mod. And maybe some other brand turbos, to make some wooshh efect :jamie: :( But first things first :blinks:
-
Both have fuel filler in same place, but sedan has lid on it. rh pilar has air vent and lh pilar has fuel filler lid. On coupe the air vent's are much smaller and lower in pilar. But simpliest is to look the whole backend of the car, it's so much different... :D

Yes, i don't have dash :ban: But it will have dash when i'm finished. and yes it will fit, but then again, i'm not using any stock meters, so there is plenty of room. On KE20 wiper motor is mountet directly to pedal assembly. i don't know how much there would be room in KE70, but i susspect that it's going to be tight fit. If it's only possible, do it forward at enginebay. Much easier... And yes, i'll make adjusting knob to the dash
