  1. Gday guys thanks for the kind words. unfortunately the progress has been a bit slow lately. my spare Ke10 that was to be a parts car has been given a new lease on life and after a few weeks of work runs again, almost ready for rego. hopefully peaches will get some much needed attention very soon. Cheers Justin
  2. ok so i have spent the last couple of days making some new extractors 4-1 1.25" pipes a bit different than the normal off the shelf items now just got to get them coated. another step closer to starting
  3. Awesome work mate. looks absolutely magic, you must be wrapped with the way its turned out. look forward to seeing out on the road job well done cheers Justin
  4. thanks for all the kind words guys. yeah the supercharger is an sc14, it looks massive next to a k engine and with the extended snout. the torana in the background is a mates car, has an injected 5 litre, turbo 350 and 9" combo. its absolutely overrated and apparently was a top 60 car at summernats in 2004 or 05. anyway heres a couple more pics of peaches. a ta22 limited slip diff narrowed coil overs for the front with ae86 inserts. front brakes are ke70 slotted rotors and calipers on ke20 front hubs with nice braided brake lines. and adjustable top camber plates to suit.
  5. nice work man, really nice set up and very well thought out  with the blower setup did you have to do anything with the fuel system, it looks like your still running a standard pump, did you have a return line or was it not needed? anyway awesome job. cheers Justin

    V6 Ae82

The v6 out of the mitsubishi fto could be interesting. Or the early Eunos 300 Both 2 litres i think and love to rev. don't know why anyone would bother but definately be different
  7. here are some more pics Carby is a 32/36 weber and sit just out of the bonnet, notice all side trim removed and a different style for the indicators carby adapter gearbo crossmember uses the hump from an xc falcon v8 Still lots to go but it gets a little closer to road going every week
  8. I used an early pre pollution manifold and cut the centre section out, and when i bought the supercharger it had the intake pipes connected so i cut the flange of. Got a bit of alloy pipe and cut it into a u shape and got my mate to weld it all together. He ported and sculpted the insides and hit the external with a needle scaler tool. It come up magic, looks factory. There is so many custom pieces that have to be made that i didnt even think off when i started but it was worth the effort. the gearbox went in on the weekend, sticking with the k50 for now and if it doesnt hold up i have a k-t cable bellhousing put aside. don't know if the box will fit in the tunnel though. Ive modified the gearbox crossmember too so the exhaust can run below it. I will get some more pics up soon.
  9. the plan from the start was to go through the bonnet, if youve got a blower show it off i reckon A mate of mine works at a cylinder head reconditioning shop and he did all the machine work which is just awesome. the finish on all alloy parts is aquablasting the only paint is on the engine block and sump.
  10. Thanks for the comments guys. The rims are mazda 13 x 4 on the front and the rears widened to 13 x 6 and then had them chromed. the hubcaps are a hotrod item to fit ford or early chev rims and had to be modified to work on these, their held on with three small stainless bolts And now the engine has been united with Peaches Just gotta get the rest of the driveline in maybe next weekend and make up some new brake lines
  11. Ok so i have been looking around on this site for a while now and i find it quite enjoyable checking out everyone's ride so i thought i would start a thread on this little Ke10 that i have been playing with for the last 3 years. This car is to be my wifes daily driver when its all together. The story started after i sold my last Ke10 that i owned when first met and after selling it we decided that we missed the little bugger, so we went and bought another. unfortanetly i don't have pics when we drove it home but it was white, rust free and 4k, 4 speed powered and that was six years ago. so three years ago we started pulling apart with the intention of a full rebuild. it was taken back to bare metal and had a few small body mods done to clean the look up My wife had the custom colour mixed up and the paint went on there is still a lot to do but it is coming along nicely. The engine choice was an easy one for me and it had to be a K series. my last attempt was a 4K with fuel injection and made 96 rwhp so obviously the next step was to go 5K with a supercharger. This engine work and setup has taken the last 18 months and i can't wait to see how it goes, when i get some more time i will get some more pics up and some more progress reports hope you enjoy and feel free to comment Justin
  12. - Is the Bosch 044 high pressure too much? It was designed for the 3.0+ liter engines, and long term I'm looking at a 2.0 liter, short term it's the 4K - If I have my surge tank set up in my boot, are the fuel lines supposed to go through the chassis as they appear in most peoples? Can I run them underneath neatly if I have a top side surge tank? - Most of the decent nationally made surge tanks are at least 1.5 liters, which seems excessive. At Bursons Auto One the only surge tank they have is a Chinese piece of garbage that looks maybe half a liter. What's recommended? Hey mate, the bosch pump will be fine if your using a fuel pressure reg and will have more than enough flow which is the main issue. as for the surge tank i would stick to the 1.5 litre, its not that big, but not to small. and with the fuel line the main concern with running under the car is if its a rubber hose it can be pierced by road debris, so in the chassis is a good idea or you could use steel bundy tube in a bigger diameter than the standard fuel line good luck with it all cheers Justin
  13. That right there is the traditional definition of a HOTROD, not a rat rod You take an original car and 'hot' it up to make it faster. with that said Hotrod patina on an original cars is very cool
  14. i Used to run a Microtech fuel only ecu on a highly modded 4k for about 6years and could never get it to run 100%. The above mentioned tuner couldnt even set the timing and cannot hear pinking. which was the main problem i was having. The ecu was then 'upgraded' to laptop programmable and was still unable to tune properly. Would always run rich and ping under heavy load, eventually glazing bores from fuel wash. Anyway enough of my whinge , think i will stick with carbs Hope you have better results than i did
  15. Nice work man, That looks sweet as. Been a while since ive seen a tough looking ke10. Did you modify the original front bar or are they like escort bumperettes? :bash: Keep the pics coming Cheers Justin
  16. Gday mate, this isnt goinig to help but i just got a windscreen for my 10 two weeks ago and was told it was the last one in victoria, and that was going through four different suppliers and three manufacturers. hope you find one, good luck Cheers Justin
  17. Hang around a bit longer mate. i saw this car a few times getting around and would still enjoy looking at a few more pics, and I'm sure a few others on here would too.
  18. why would there be more wear and tear with a blower? A high revving n/a engine will wear quicker than its blown equivalant as you don't have to rev it as hard to make the same power. and standard cast pistons are a good thing providing the tune is right and their not seeing any detonation. forged pistons are worth the money if your starting to push the boundaries
  19. Nice job Cam. Thats real tidy. Love the colour too. What sway bar do you intend on using, I found the whiteline one fouled on the ke70 brake calipers before hitting full lock. anyway, enjoy the driving pleasure, it looks awesome Cheers Justin
  20. Changing a camshaft is a fairly involved job but needs to be done if your looking for power. get a hold of a repair manual and have a read. if you go done this path it might be worth getting your distributor regraphed to suit. Working over the ports does help but not really necessary, but when you start chasing power even the small things make a difference. Good luck with the build mate.
  21. What are you smoking mate? A blown engine is always going to make more power than an n/a engine, regardless of capacity, and for half the amount of money.
  22. A mate of mine just got his datsun 1000 running with an a14 engine and he used thottle bodies of a 900cc(i think) motorbike. he used the injectors and fuel rail complete and bought one of those megasquirt computers u put together yourself VERY COOL. It also uses a plastic type trumpet aswell Worth a look maybe! Anyway good luck with it Cheers Justin
  23. Nice work mate. That is one great looking little ride. Just wondering who did your chrome work? Are you happy with it and what sort of dollars did they charge? can't wait to see some paint on it. Good luck with the build, your doing a great job Cheers Justin
  24. The later of the two dash pads listed by parrot should be 1170mm in length and have a recess in the centre approx. 320mm I have just had mine reskinned by the Dashboard Doctor and I am very happy with the result. I gave them an average condition pad with two very sizeable cracks and a couple of smaller cracks and now it really is brand new. To TE278U i am in ferntree gully if you want to have a look at the end result. Cheers Justin 9758 8500
  25. Morning all, So I have just got my KE10 out of the trimmers and the paint is still fresh and wanted to fit a new front windscreen only to find (after several phone calls) that they are no longer available, or being manufactured. My question is , does anyone know the whereabouts of such an item? any help would be appreciated Thanks Justin
