  1. Nice work Doogs, was looking the goods at classic Japan for sure! Wheels looked great, always liked rebels, damn it's hard to find wheels in 4x110.
  2. Awesome, can't wait for the next 'upgrade'. Can't believe your on the third box, I still haven't broken one even with the 359nm of torque and driving like a madman, want to screw more boost into the little beast. The whole street machine experience was incredible, getting a call from the editor to do a feature, the photographer spending 4hours taking shots in his choice of location and the writer was a cool guy, never met in person just spoke on the phone for a couple of hours. Very stoked.
  3. Thanks for the kind words guys. Had a special visit today from the A Team Mr T said "pity the fool that messes with Peechs" Sometimes I love my job, coolest car I've worked on in ages, so much fun.
  4. So today I am one extremely happy guy! It's not everyday your car gets featured in a magazine. Even better is its the first 4cyl Corolla to be featured in Street Machine. It was a pretty cool experience doing a proper photo shoot, Absolutely stoked.
  5. I'll make a call tomorrow and get back to ya, see what I can find out for ya
  6. Hey Bryn Peechs turns to 7800 rpm. Cam was done by Clive Cams in ferntree gully, who was the machinist for wade for 30 odd years, Give him a call, he has done a few 5k cams for me and has always delivered the results I'm chasing
  7. Forced induction, Cheapest easiest way to make good power
  8. Bloody nice work fella! Looks and sounds ace, job well done
  9. I've found the x-trails to be fairly reliable but have noticed a couple of minor problems, One being they break the O2 sensor bung out of the exhaust manifold (causes exhaust leak, loss of power) . Requires manifold removal for repair, and the cam sensors can cause engine light on issue, loss of power, not difficult to replace. The clutches previously mentioned are quite expensive but seem to last very well in normal driving. Generally though, not a bad thing.
  10. Man that does seem excessive. Maybe the AE86 is a high theft risk ( as in desirable ). Peechs only cost me $300 a year full comp, agreed value of $13000. And used as a daily driver. I do have four cars insured with the same company though.
  11. I hope the weather isn't too bad! Make sure your wallets are loaded, got some K motor goodies up for grabs. See ya all in the morning
  12. Big weekend in Melbourne with Motorex on at the show grounds. What an absolutely awesome car show, best I've been to in ages. I was lucky enough to get a park in the 'real street boulevard ' display. . I must have spent 5hrs cleaning and was pretty happy with how she looked on show. Looking forward to Toyota winterfest in a couple of weeks too.
  13. Looks cool as, Are we going to see her at toyota winterfest?
  14. Get the exedy, I don't use anything else. They have a great pedal feel and always wear very well.
  15. Thanks for posting that. I don't do the Facebook thing, it's beyond my computer operating knowledge. Will definitely try to get to the Toyota winterfest
  16. I know this car quite well and your lucky it came with as many sprinter options as it did, I tried to get my hands on some of the rare pieces but the previous owner wanted to keep it As a sprinter should be.. and fair enough too, it's a cool little machine. Looks ace with the works wheels and love the plans you have for it, If you ever want to get rid of those factory seat belts let me know! Happy motoring Cheers Justin
  17. Yeah I used AE86 tops in mine, just redrilled the mounting holes, although I am using coilovers. I don't know how much adjustment you could get with standard diameter springs.
  18. Awesome project man, I love it. Cool engine choice and the wheels look great on it Keep the updates coming
  19. Geez it was a cold one! Here's a couple that braved the crap weather.
  20. Thanks mate, So made the trek out to Hanging Rock and the drive was awesome, Peechs ran sweet and the sun was out, thought we might of been in luck for a ripper day. Only to find that 15 min. Further down the road the sun was replaced with rain, and man was it cold. Surprisingly good turn out considering the weather, Good to catch up with a few people.
  21. Thought I'd try a different look, Something I've been meaning to do for ages. Hope to see a few of you guys at Hanging Rock.
  22. A couple of other cars that got my attention
