    Upi Spotted

I went to lonsdale upi today and found a few things actually was well worth it. There is a ke36(pretty crap condition though, a few good bits), and few other ke30/55 model but most were in poor condition and ke70 sedans and wagons too. ;)
  2. I also would like to how the F%#K this thing got defected and what for??? You must have been doing skids or something surely! Now I'm paranoid about getting defected because my car is nowhere near as good condition as this... Hope you can get it cleared mate, its a nice car! Cheers
  3. Nice car mate, I love the colour. can't wait to see what you do with it! Cheers Chris
  4. Australia rocks hard yes.. ive been else where and it doesnt compare by a long way! BUT australia day is a joke! should be called trash australia day. SEEN NOTHING BUT DICKHEADS WITH FLAGS AND BOOZE AND RUBBISH LIKE ACTUAL TRASH EVERYWHERE..... POOOOOR EFFORT!!!! Like seriously can people not have fun without getting completely wrecked and act like wankers?????????????
  5. I feel your pain buddy. Atleast your alright and nobody was hurt. Just have to get a new rolla and do it even better this time. ;)
  6. hmm those faded window rubber trims look out of place on this overrated machine. why not wedge those stick on chrome trims in there too?? :P
  7. cool thanks for you help will see how I go tomorrow.. cheers chris
  8. Roughly measured them at 6.5 or 7 inch wide. Can't see anything written on them.
  9. hmm not sure what the offset is. How does one find out? Reason I'm asking is because just picked up some jellybean style rims with these tires on them. the tires have good tread so i hope i can use them..
  10. Hey, so I am just wondering if anyone knows if 205/60/14 tires will fit without rubbing on my ke38 wagon. They are way wider than whats on there at the moment but there does seem to be a lot of room left. Cheers Chris
  11. Hey mate had this problem in my wagon and its got to do with the suction vortex that is created at the back of the car I would check boot seal, around tail lights, anywhere there might be a leak... I replaced boot seal resealed tail lights and also found a few other holes to plug up and now the smell has gone. And apparently directing the exhaust pipe away doesn't fix the problem, you have to get it all sealed up. Hope this helps Cheers Chris

Spotted baby blue 70 dumped on black stocko type wheels. Also ke25? with black bonnet and lowered on black stocko type wheels.. Edit: Both on brighton road!
  14. Few pics for you all Heres my replacement 4k now sporting some slightly shinier bits and extractors, has about 600hp more than before :lolcry: This pic shows how damaged the drivers side doors are. I have replacement sedan doors but the rear door is slightly different at the top only. Wondering if anyone has converted sedan doors into wagon doors before? I will probably be doing this unless I find a wagon one.. It looks like it will be fairly straight forward but if someone knows hows its done please let me know. (it would be great thing to have in the tech write up section) This is the good side :jamie: Heres the latest addition to the interior, a genuine granny knitted rug. I got it for christmas :P Did someone say best beaches in the world?????!!!!! For those who don't know this is Moana beach, just south of Adelaide. And being 40 degrees here today its no wonder it was so busy! And last but not least my car in front of my mural down at Jetty Rd, Glenelg. :y:
  15. Hey people, small update on the wagon.. had the new exhaust system put in ended up going with 2 inch pipe with small hotdog and a "sport" muffler, ! . Also replaced intake and exhaust manifold gasket today because old one was leaking and making noise but stupidly didnt change it when the motor was out of the car so the job was much more annoying than it could have been......................... bluahrg. Good to have it done though and can notice difference in power and thats one less ticking noise coming from the engine haha Also put some new roof gutter chrome strips on. Just the stick on type but it still looks good. Sorry no pics! I'll get take some soon enough though. CHeerS
  16. Quick update, got a prime condition 4k and 5 speed up in this beast! Completely stock apart from new extractors. Was spewing out oil at first from the oil filter but solved that with a new filter and bit of gasket paper. Tiny bit of coolant leaking somewhere still but it started up easy and sounds mad with extractors only, no exhaust at the moment. Getting rest of the exhaust in asap. Thinking about going 2" pipe through to 1 muffler with 2 inch tip. But not really sure if thats too big and loud.. other wise I might just do it same as the factory set up apart from pipe size and extractors. Anyway I'll get picks up after I clean it up a bit. Cheers
  17. Good to see your getting stuck into it ryan, TE3x bonnet and grill would be sweet, probably not many of them in Australia! Surely postage would be pri$ey for such items? But do it anyway :y:
  18. Yeah looking good alright.. Nice straight rear bar you got there :y:

    My Ke36..

Cars looking great dude, you've done well to find parts. :y:
  20. Yeah your right curly, they would attract too much unwanted attention. Which is why I won't be driving with them. I think I will get some nice bright white ones. :lolcry: or just leave them stock :( Cheers josh :hmm:
  21. I don't really know whats happening with the stripes, havent got around to taken them off but not sure if I even should.. Just replaced the rest of my steering components. Idler arm, tie rod ends etc.. Steers much more precise now but I think I need to get a wheel alignment now because its still a bit out of wack. Pretty keen to get some new tires which are a bit wider than these skinny stock ones but not sure if they are heaps expensive or not. And kinda looking at getting different rims so we'll see... Also playing around with globes thought I would get the rollaclub input. Funk or Fail Wagon? :hmm: Regarding blue fog lights. Also rocking fresh plates, from now on I got the Victorian/Government blue KE0038 plates.. At first I was like, Cool blue plates! Then I was like oh crap thats victorian colour (no offence), oh crap thats government/cops colour (no offence). Now I'm like, Cool, blue plates again! They got a big SA logo on them anyway.. And thinking about having a few other blue highlights around the car to get a bit of a theme happening.
  22. woops, posted in wrong thread. I do like what you are doing with this car though. The wheels look overrated!
  23. Some parts arrived the other day from Brendon ( username Smurf). He kindly sent me a decent rear bumper, very tidy number plate light assembly, some side vents and also 1 overrated tail light and 1 damaged tail light for spares. Here is a pic of the rear end as it is now with the parts on. Also bought new number plates but they are secret for now, atleast untill I clean the car and take proper photos :D Looking pretty tidy now though (needs a clean!)
  24. I look forward to finding out what they say about the struts and what shocks etc. to put in. What do you want from them? Are you going to put low springs in it but want them to stay captive and have short stroke?
