Yeah you can get it in a pen. google white tire pen and have a look. I got mine for around $5 + postage. Although it does look good it comes off pretty easy but that might be just the brand that I got.
Spotted a light blue ke70 lowered on some nice rims somewhere near norwood. You gave an epic wave haha I smiled like a goober but was to slow to wave :P
Looking fresh mate! Thats probably the best looking front lip I've seen on a ke30. Most of them look funny if you ask me but that looks good..
Not sure about the pin stripe though.. Looks like it needs something.. like another thicker line? or maybe a different colour? blue, white, silver? something that stands out a bit maybe.. I don't mind it the way it is just looks like it needs something.
Coming along great guns keep it up :P
Yeah you should have a thread for it. :) If not to get opinions then just for the members who would like to see the progress.. I personally am very keen to see what mods you do to it. And I am sure they will be tasteful. If someone doesn't think so, who cares!
Thanks for the info. I did do a search and I found some info on it but couldn't find anywhere that sells this 1pc gasket but cheers for the part number and shop to go to, thats where i'll go. :) Also my socket set only has one extension and it didn't really help which meant it was very tricky.. I'll have to grab a different set or try and borrow one..
And yes philby you are right the extractor flange is a little bit smaller than the inlet manifold, exactly the same as in altezzaclubs thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=37696 labeled 'B'
"I'll have to pack the thinner one of the manifolds or it will not be clamped tight" is the only explanation I could find as to how I could solve this..
Could you be a little more specific, what exactly did you use to "pack the thinner one"?
CHEERS
Hey, I have recently replaced a worn out intake/exhaust manifold gasket on my 4k. Unfortunately there is still a leak coming from here. I know now that I didn't really do it as good as I could have and this time I want to do it properly so I don't have to do it again because it's an extremely frustrating job to do (well it was for me). I have extractors and have read that they often don't line up perfectly this could be a factor. Also used a 2pc gasket, which could also be a factor. And I didn't use any gasket sealant of any type. And I struggled to access the bolts to tighten them up properly. so...
1. Where can I get a 1pc gasket?
2. Would using 2 gaskets with lots of sealant help?
3. What is the best tool/method to access the bolts, especially on the bottom side of the manifolds? There must be a better way!!
4. Any other tips for doing this job?
Thanks heaps for your time.
Cheers
Chris
Good write up this will come in handy when I decide to upgrade for sure.. :)
Would be good to have a list of what shockers can be used in different struts, models etc.
Nice one! I managed to grab a set of 14" jellybeans, 205/60 nankang tires with HEAPS of rubber too.. stoked. :) Pretty much just got lucky with a celica that came in.. (the one with king springs and exhaust etc.)
Here they are just after i got them... I've cleaned them up a bit now though.
Hey, congrats on the purchase. Its a very tidy car.. worth every penny. About the carpet I say go Black carpet because it looks the goods and doesnt stain easily. Good luck with it.
Cheers
Chris
Lovely~ ! Is that New Old Stock? Its going to look great. Wagons Rule!
Keen to know how much it cost for you to get that bit sent over too, are there any other parts that you could get new like that? I'm kind of keen to get some of those side vents with red reflectors on them...
What about the ones that come off late model ke55? You could probably get one of them from a wrecker for cheap. I have one and will soon be fitting it to my wagon.. Can I expect any noticeable improvement in general daily handling?? Or are they a waste of time all together? I don't even really understand what they do.... Hmm might have to google it ;)
