  1. This gentlemen is the power of flood water. This morning this was a 2010 Mazda 6. Tonight or tomorrow some new soft drink cans. That is how powerfull flood water is. Be carefull out there. Note. Not my car.
  2. G`day all, for those that attended and went to have a look at the water level. Photo was taken today at about 2pm. Cheers, Trev.
  3. At Willowbank test and tune tonight and spotted a white ae71 pano. Turbo`d 4age and chucked a pretty good burnout. I think he ran around 14`s. Only had a quick chat to the guy and he had his helmet on so conversation was limited. Did catch that he makes computers to make 4age`s go fast. Cheers. p.s. Our altered shit another fuel pump and couldn`t even have a run. Pisser.
  4. Could be Cragar Mags. They were made back in the sixties and were famous for the spokes breaking away from the rim even tho they are cast as one peice. Cheers.
  5. G`day mate, have you thought that it might be as simple as a stuck starter motor. Put the car in top gear with the habdbrake and ignition off and simply rock it back and forth. You should be able to see whether it is turning over and you may hear a click from the starter itself if this is the problem. Cheers and good luck.
  6. I guess a Viagra Tablet in the fuel tank would make it go hard too. MUAHAHAHA.....
  7. Sent Today, 04:56 PM what type of engineering shop ?? i have no idea. sorry. Maaaaaate, I don`t mean to offend you but you do need to study up on the working of the basic internal combustion engine. Probably the closest that you will ever come to finding a 4age quad cam is if you go to your local signwriter and get him to make you some stickers for the top of the cam cover of your engine. They walk among us and they breed.
  8. Yeh mate, its easy,. Just go to your local engineering shop and tell them that you want an inverted vee block made for your engine so you can run two cylinder heads. Thats the simplest way. Cheers.
  9. I have heard that there are two different clutches for the 4age motors. I don`t know personally coz I have never done a conversion. Gotta be worth checking up with your mechanic tho. Cheers and good luck.
  10. G`day mate, a couple of other thoughts. I listened to the video and its hard to tell from that but it is worth ruling out a couple of faults by doing the following: Give the fan belt a short squirt with wd40 or similar and do the same with the cam belt idler pulley. Do the same with the distributor shaft. I`ve had one dry out and create a horrible squeeling noise. One other that I have experienced is the bearing/bush in the back of the crankshaft drying out and thus creating a squeel.( can only be repaired by removing the box and replacing the bearing. Ensure that you have adequate freeplay in the clutch adjustment. If the throwout bearing is even slightly engaged in neutral at idle it will rapidly wear out/dry out and squeel loudly. Just reach under the car and give the clutch release shaft a wiggle back and forth. there should be a few millimetres freeplay in a well adjusted one. And again, ensure that the box is holding the correct ammount of oil and not low and starving the input shaft bearing. Good luck with it and I hope I`ve been some help. Cheers.
  11. G`day mate, as nice as it sounds to have that lumpy idle that makes your eyes go funny at traffic lights, it doesn`t always mean that the engine is tuned to its optimum. I don`t reccommend that anyone play with dcoe`s by themselves but if you do want that lump back, simply turn the air mixture screws about 1/8th of a turn inwards. (rich) You may also have to adjust the idle rpm accordingly. Cheers.

  13. G`day mate, they might be a bit hard to find, but early Falcons came with external chrome mirrors. The door shape was similar to the 55`s so they should look ok. I had a pair on a ke10 way back when. The other option is to go for the conical shaped GT mirrors that are available on Gaybay. Cheers.
  14. G`day mate, check your gearbox oil. If it wasn`t topped up after the tailshaft was removed to remove the gearbag, it might be low enough to be starving the input shaft bearing. Cheers.
  15. Well Toowoomba sure knows how to turn on the "good" weather for its visitors. I just wanted to say thanks to all of the guys and gals for a great afternoon. Sorry that I couldn`t stay overnight, maybe next time. Cheers.
  16. G`day all, if any of you are short of camping gear give me a yell. I`ll probably be coming out to say G`day and don`t mind lending some gear to the needy. (as long as its looked after properly) I have a two man tent, a 4 man tent a couple of tarps with poles and ropes etc and a whole shebang of sundry items. I`ve met Rob and Reed but thats about it and would like to catch up with more members. Cheers, Trevor.
  17. Was out at Willowbank Raceway last night and a real schmik looking AE 86 parked along side of our pit. Red, low, black spoiler and some pretty mickey looking superlight ( ??) wheels. Nice car whoever owns it. Cheers.
  18. Won`t be able to make it this time. I`ll be pit crew on my mates altered at Willowbank this weekend. I was out at Cressbrook fishing yesterday and its looking better than it has in a long time. About 50% full and all of the surrounds and camping area are as green as. Suggestion on firewood... Vanity street wood depot has bags of hardwood for $10. They hold easily enough for one night. I hope everyone has a great time and I`ll try to catch up some time. Cheers to all.
  19. G`day mate, i`m just wondering wether you might be able to use a modified version of an ef/el falcon cold air intake, rather than going to the trouble of making your own. They tuck in nicely between the bonnet and the radiator support panel, are made of plastic, and shouldn`t be hard to maybe turn sideways to suit your needs. Just a thought. Cheers.
  20. Sounds like you may not have got the cam timing right. Lift the tappett cover off and ensure that both inlet and exhaust valves are closed when the top dead centre timing mark is aligned. Also worth checking that the dizzy was put back in correctly. Cheers.
  21. G`day mate, dunno where you are but I`ve got a ke70 cross member with mount in Toowoomba you can have for free if you pick it up. Cheers.

  23. Try your local motorbike shop and ask them what grades of fork oil they have. What grade oil did you have in mind?
