My Grandfather (Rufus on here) has the 1st KE10 to ever land in Australia. I can tell ya now, it doesn't look like this. :y: His plans is to Restore it back to the Condition it rolled off the Boat, exactly like this, but in Burgundy. He's even got the Original Number Plates too. :) Josh

Good to see and hear the ol' girl out. This is one awesome KE38, and boy does it have some chop. :y: Altho it couldn't keep up with dad's ute. :P Josh

We've proven that a 4K never dies. The one that came out on Saturday was absolutely stuffed. It was running on 2 Cylinders, it had a Severe Bottom End Knock, Blew heaps of Smoke, Badly Misfiring - and it STILL hasn't given up yet !!! :) I betcha if we chucked it into another Corolla just sitting on the Mounts, and hooked up the Earth and Other Wiring, it'll fire up. They just don't die! :lolcry: Dad's gone through worse situations than what I've just written, and he's got it going no sweat! :lolcry: Josh

I can't wait to see this gettin' around on Rolla Cruises. Gonna look overrated when this is put back together and driven around. ;) Josh

Cheers mate. :y: A Corolla Pano that I think is best suited to go around Australia would be a KE70 Pano. Good on Juice, loads of space, and a 4K that will NEVER die on you. Josh

Looking good. :y: Are you going to put in a KE10/11 Chrome Grille, or are you just gonna leave it Mesh? Would look better with one IMO. Josh

Pretty clean Rust-Repair Jake. $2,500 for a Respray of the same colour !? Find a website that has a book of Factory KE55 Corolla colours, find the actual name of it, go down to Autobarns, and ask the dipstick at the Paint Desk to make the paint for ya. Then hire someone to paint the Colour on your KE55 for ya. You'll only need at least 4L of it, plus the Undercoat and the Clear paint. :) Josh

Cheers Ben. :y: Ryan (SLO-030) popped 'round tonight for a Catch up and a Good Chat, and so I got out both the Smurf and Ollie, lined them up next to Ryan's KE38, and took some Teaser Pics. :P Cheers, Woz & Josh

Pics of today's progress. Got the Bonnet on some wheels, and wiped it down with a Rag and Thinners. Painted the Radiator, Support Panel, and Fan Cowl. Bolted them back on. Attached and Tightened the Hoses. Then Clipped on the Loom and Bonnet Latch. A few shots of Ollie and the Smurf together at the end of the Driveway. :) The Respectful Owners of both the KE36s. ;) That's all the progress that will be done for the time being. The next lot of progress will be at Easter, and that's when the fun of the Painting Stage begins. :D Woz & Josh

Thanks Ben. :y: There will be more done today. We're gonna spray Under the bonnet with some sample paint dad has leftover, then we're gonna put back in the Radiator, Thermo-Housing, and the Support Panel. We're gonna try and bare the 40 degree heat as we do this. Dad and I are keen. :D Josh

Dad told me that every day driving home from work, he sees a Girl in an Immaculate Original Silver Flat-Front KE70.

We went (now yesterday) to look at it, and has a K-Motor in it. Very very early 20. Rust and dents, with Ford stickers here and there. Pretty good if you're gonna ground-up restore it. I could only imagine the rust underneath it. :hmm: Josh
