  1. Did you move the car before tightening it all up?? It should settle after a single run around the block. Also if they rest them, THEN put the extra leaf in it might hold it higher. They should know thier shit though.
  2. Any decent turbo motor will be on low compression. 11:1 is a bit much without spending a fair bit of money to keep it in one piece.
  3. No plans to sell as I have been going to do this project for a real long time. I have nothing else designed so far.
  4. We have had two so far & will get this one as well, sometimes the kids pay off.... :)
  5. Sweet looking ride, will be good to follow & see how it goes.
  6. here is some borrowed info... :P A 4-into-1 design is perhaps the most traditional design. This design is common to the US market and is well used within the drag race fraternity. The basic principle behind the design is that the scavenging effect within the collector cone effects the three remaining pipes (in a V8 half), instead of limiting the pulse to the very next pipe in the sequence. This generally results in a header that performs very well in the mid-range to top end of the engines performance. A TRI-Y on the other hand splits the firing order evenly and uses the secondary pipes as sequential collectors. This results in generally a greater scavenging effect due to the fact that scavenging is achieved at 2 different points in the header design, firstly at the primary to the secondary collector and secondly to the secondary outlet collector. Generally this improves torque in the lower to mid range performance of the engine. Both designs are usually more efficient than a standard manifold and both offer distinctly different advantages.
  7. Taz-Rx Redlands four whel drive was the place. With the 7k, what auto was behind them??? If you find the article I would love a gander at it if you would be so generous. Good to hear that I am not the only one going different...... :D
  8. Can't be done as a rebodied unfortunately. As for the ICV the emissions testing won't apply because of the age engineer has already told me what we have to do & it will cost a few bob but wont be to hard.
  9. Lots of options with the 2l ford engine from simple as in one tooth advanced on the timing to a decent cosworth head. They are a good little engine with heaps of potential. As much as I love the new Jap gear, not everything needs to burn rice!!
  10. Ended up using a ratchet tie down strap as a cross member to get the toe in better so I could get it off the trailer. :D
  11. The Corolla & LWB suzi have a whole 25mm difference in wheel base & 20-25mm difference in wheel track so it's not a bad match really. Both chassis in the pics are Wide Track chassis & came with the 1.3. Was thinking of using the 2.5l V6 in it, still could happen. Will have the engineer here in a couple of weeks to start the what I can & can't do list.
  12. How much fun would that thing be to drive.
  13. I am about to get stuck into my Suzota build, or since I'm on the Toyota site should that be a Toyzuki????????? This is a project I though of doing a lot of years ago & just never got around to it. I have a LWB Suzuki Sierra chassis & drive lines & I am about to put a Corolla station wagon onto it. :D It will be an Individually Constructed Vehicle for rego purposes which means about 2k in Engineering fees but ya get that. 1.6 Engine & Auto will be donated from a Vitara (so far), unless you lads can think of a Viable yota alternative, still open to suggestions on that. Will be a long build due to having to feed my 3 snot goblins as well..
  14. They are harder to set up but once done CORRECTLY they are much better, stay in tune longer to. Just out of curiosity if you dropped something on your carbies could they then be called "Marked Webbers?" :D
  15. Jetting will be one of the few issues that you might come across. There is a bloke on one of the Suzuki 4x4 sites that has a set on his sierra ( samurai for you) . Make sure they are balanced if your going to do it. Found the link for ya. http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?name=F...orcycle+carbies
  16. Just remember with a wheel alignment, cheaper isn't always going to be better. A bad wheel alignment can kill your tyres & make your car drive like crap.
