  1. i see auto boxes come for sale time to time in the for sale section or check the wrecking cars section on here, easiest thing to do is just replace the auto box with another... they are cheap most people convert to manual and get rid of the auto... that being said if you have the know how and have the parts to do v6 conversion... why not just go with that... just got to decide which road you want to take. option 2 is a big conversion... and if it s just going to be runabout may not be worth the effort..
  2. there should be plenty of old corollas in the phillipines no?
  3. sounds like converting the manual to auto is harder than auto to manual!...
  4. the jdm oldschool toyotas fetch descent prices... mazda fetch due to the cult status of the rotary ones as mentioned and being able to swap the piston engines for rotary ones easy enough....
  5. sound like it was owned by a grandma ! lol jk, the mechanicals can be fixed easily pity the paint is bad... prep work sucks... look forward to seeing progress and get this thing looking and going descent....
  6. 4agze, thats fair it aint turbo.. lol are you planing on going efi or carby on the 4age?
  7. mmmm daily driver.... lol
  8. 4age has been done many times, i have one in my ke35, great daily but i do find myself wanting more power. considering all the work involved in these type of conversions i say go turbo e.g add a turbo to 4age, ca18det or sr20det...4age are big step from a k engine don't get me wrong ....but if i had money to do it again i would go sr20 turbo or similar...
  9. i use kyb front sierra shocks on the back of my ke35, they are shorter stroke, my car lowered 2 inches hasnt given me any major issues.. very stiff, i agree not enough droop thou, can be issue on steep driveways if your on a angle...inner wheel of the ground lol
  10. great drift car! car needs more rust thou as above ....paint strip it and let it rott...lol
  11. we needs pics!
  12. Personally i would not straight swap an 04 lancer for a stock ke35.. no way! If it had a good paint job with before and after pics of work, clean interior,4age conversion lol, maybe. be patient cheap stock descent ones still come up for sale....you mention your a painter so bodywork is your thing... most ke35 will need attetion in this area.
  13. you need to buy some metal cable ties clamp down the ends of the heat wrap to keep it in place. i found wetting the heatwrap a little allowed me to wrap it tighter and neater.... just don't soak it....
  14. heat wrap, i heat wrap my extractors and after a good drive you can touch the wrap without burning you fingers so the stuff really does work well.... + bleed clutch fluid, new brake fluid should solve your issue...
