gday fellas.......:)...... (start offtopic post here) my fully worked 5k is now in the car and i am proud to say that it does go f@$kEN HARD......i beat my workmates late model (early 90s) celica....along the highway i tested her out 170 in forth and umm.......it kept goin in 5th......not sure what too though....i think it was around 175 -180......its got a f@$kload of torque.....with my huge cam...should be getting the extractors fitted up next friday....4 into 1 mandrel bent....:D. (end off topic post here) hehehehehe....what kinda head was on you 5k???

gday peoples..... the engine is now sitting firmly in my engine bay and ready to be started....still gotta do some sutff before it goes out on the road......but Fark its loud......doesnt sound anything like nicks car though.....as in no BRAP BRAP BRAP......it's more along the lines of BLOP,......blop blop,..........blop blop blop.....BLOP.... hahaha.....anyway you guys will see it soon enough.....gettting my mandrel bent extractors fitted on tuesday.....:D PICCYS!!!!! :)

i've had that deal before.....(been to the same place) 100 paintballs will cost you $20......and you DO go through them.....i used $60 bucks worth.....hehehehe.....so if you don't mind paying for them go for it..... gday.....i think its time for another update..... the engine is now complete minus the carby which is getting overhauled tomorrow and friday.....will be back on friday hopefully...i used the solid lifters and hunted around for dastun (evil word) a12 i think they were, pushrods....i found them at All Jap Auto Parts......and got about 25 of them.....hehehehe......just in case i bend some.....:D... noyzworks at lawnton will be doing the exhaust (mandrel bent extractors and replacing the muffler with something more substancial)... so the engine is ready to go in.....i got my daikin high performance clutch on friday last week....so this saturday it will all come together hopefully... :)

Hi guys and girls.... i feel a little left out......i don't have a name for my KE55......and it feels left out too......so to make things a bit different i decided to take suggestions on the name for it......can be male/female......all suggestions taken... :) fire away people!!!!!!!!!

weird......its got the later stlye bonnet which was used on the ones with the slanted front end.....(slanted head lights)...as opposed to the one with the centre line down it...... Have you changed it???

macinite is a kind of manufactured thin board.....brown in colour and rough on one side and smooth on the other.....sometimes used for moreton island sand tobbogging....:D

I'm pretty sure you can get vinyl paint.......for doing this type of thing.....that could be a way to go....or you could "remake" your doortrims using macinite (spelling).....

where you gunna use those dice man......DO NOT hang them from your rear vision mirror........put them somewhere else......you will eventually get picked up for them.....but they would look cool.......:D

demuire: nope......prolly not.....however you can't tell the difference between them.....and they would be much stronger than the other stuff....

try penrite in it......HPR 30 or somthing......never failed me yet....:D

Welcome TIMMMMMMMMMAAAAYYY!!!! how did you find us? as for the seatbelts, meh......just make your own like i did......out of 2 ton black webbing.....sure to hold.....:D......make sure you get someone that knows what they are doing on a INDUSTRIAL sewing machine to sew the ends up for ya.

another update.... got the balancer back today also my brother ground the intake manifold to suit the adapter that i'm putting on the engine......take a look.... :D

yeah, like when we were putting the pistons in.....hes like " i need some tube to fit over these studs on the conrod".....i said what the f@$k for.....and he said you'll see.......so he slipped some tube over the studs and then hammers the piston home and says now have a look where the stud would have gone if the tube wasn't on it.....i looked and it would have scratched the shit out of the crankshaft.....so.....he does think ahead.....i wouldnt have thought to do that..... :P :dry:

yeah luckily there was a qualified mechanic there to sort things out.....(my brother)

G'day fellas......time to update the old 5k build up...... today we started the rebuild at around 3 pm with this after slogging it out over a couple of beers and about 6 hours (we weren't hurrying), we came out with something that looks like this.... quite nice looking i think.....:D......couple of weeks it will be firmly planted in my engine bay..... :P and another one for good measure
