  6. let me say this...... don't WAIT TILL YOUR CAR CATCHES ON FIRE AND BUY ONE AFTER IT!!!! this is me speaking from experience. trust me i know what its like to have your car on fire and have nothing to put it out, other than the shirt on your own back....guys that have spoken to me before and seen the underside of my bonnet have said....."f@$k mate your really lucky".....now that i carry one i havent had a problem.....

  14. thanks guys.......this is helping......i might rip the ported head off and chuck a standard one on.......i'm also thinking it may be something to do with the fact that i changed from hydro to solid lifters.....and changed the pushrods to ones that didnt have a hole in them....????
  15. thanks for the input......damn that would have taken a while to read through.....hehehehe.....yes the word supercharger is still in my head and my brother and i will be removing the engine from my engine bay in the next few weeks and putting my old 4k back in. the reason being that the 5k is smoking waaaaaaaayyy too much for a newly built engine and hasnt stopped since we started it about 4 weeks ago.....so its coming out and being pulled down again....(more money)....and my brother and i have deicided to get some offset conrods for it...:)....since we will be pulling it down anyway.....we seem to think that the rings have failed...and were f#$ked when either putting them in or they were the wrong size.....however they fitted snugly onto the pistons.....oh well we will find out sooner or later what the problem is.... thanks again.....and if anyone has any ideas about this........feel free to comment...:S

  17. why do you want a 3K big port manifold with standard head port sizes??? unless you were thinking of doing some porting on your head.....:)

  22. i know the feeling......now i just buy shitty supercheap spanners and ratchets cause i can't afford to keep losing my good ones.....hehehe....they do the job until you put too much torque on them and you punch yourself in the face because the spanner has snapped in two....... :) i'm lucky i have a plethora of spare parts, including nuts and bolts.....
  23. add to that the bermuda triangle of nuts and bolts..... i always seem to either have too many or not enough....you put it down for a second and its gone!!......:)
  24. ummm damn.......i went straight past that on the way down to pick up the mags, but i couldnt stop cause i had to be back in brisbane at 1pm.....i left down there at around 12ish......and went past the crowds of people......looking and almost drooling over my steering wheel..... but now i have the mags and i'm happy....even though they need new tyres.....

Gday peoples...... the last few weeks have seen The Mighty 5K dropped into my engine bay and started. i wasnt in the mood to post the results up after doing the engine conversion mainly because my car bit me on the arse and started to chaff out blue smoke..... which made me mighty pissed off cause a new engine shouldn't be doing that....but its settled in and stopped smoking at idle and most of the time, which makes me think its the shit oil we used first up.....it should be fixed with some penrite oil.... i am pleased to say that this engine absolutely hammers.....:D.....however i still need to get it on a dyno to adjust the jets in the carby.....it aint running right down low.....so thats it for a while in the engine bay....next project is the tinted windows, upgrading stereo.....that should keep the bank balance at bay....:) the future plans will include the word "supercharger" but not for a while yet....hehehehehe
