November 1, 200916 yr comment_387284 and I still don't want to work full time. You and me both and so many P platers get booked for their plates having fallen off, it takes 2 seconds to have a quick look before you leave, make sure theyre on and secure, would save a lot of hassles.. Yes, well, the magnetic ones are good ones, more so for them getting thieved. But we was tooling our way up to Harvey Bay one time, stopped in at Yarraman for a pee break and driver swap, slapped on the P plates and about 15 minutes or so from Goomeri we watched the front plate lift up and float up and over the roof of the car. So we stopped in at the town to swap over again and the back plate was gone.... In QLD, from what I remember from the licensing handbook when I first got my licence (around 20 yrs ago) is that P platers must have their licence on them at all times. Someone holding an open licence if pulled over and not having it on them must present it to their local police station within 24 hours. It may have changed since then. Have a feeling its changed cause i got wheeled over a couple of years back late at night when i was working night shift, but what can you expect when an oncoming car high beams you so you high beam them back and straight back down again cause its a copper, they chuck a u-turn and wheel me over for a breast check and a license test, since i couldn't find the license i got asked a whole bunch of questions and one of the ladies, i'm figuring, checked me up on their computer and no mention of popping into a cop shop to show them my license. November 1, 200916 yr comment_387285 I think if you can provide them with the licence number they will be happy......if thats something some police do? Report

November 2, 200916 yr comment_387382 WGMG: Finding a car for a good price and right trans etc. Only problem is its defected (regency job). ring up the car yard selling it to find out what for and he avoids the question, saying its too many things to answer. Then ask him about the legalities of selling a defected car because you are meant to get them cleared off defect before selling, his reply was just that you don't have to take them off defect and can just sell them... I'm going nowhere near this place, my senses are tingling that something isn't quite right there. Report

November 2, 200916 yr comment_387412 Haha. Good one Trev. WGMG!! I had to rush after work to go and get a haircut because my sister's wedding is on saturday. When I got there, there was this hot as f*ck hairdresser who was gonna cut my hair. I sat down and put my head foward so she could start doin the back of my hair then BOOM. Nosebleed. Luckily she was really nice and got me tissues and whatnot. Every freakin year at this time I suffer nosebleeds. Right now I'm getting at least two nosebleeds per day. It's so frustrating and inconvenient. And that one at the hairdressers is the last straw!! I'm gonna go see a doctor to get it colated. Report

November 2, 200916 yr comment_387426 Oh and what else grinds my gears. Why was Holden still in imperial and not metric in the 70's/80's!! My whole car is metric except the bloody diff and gearbox. And to add to the list I hate cheap ratchets and stubborn bolts. The head of the ratchet snapped off inside the socket. Report

November 2, 200916 yr comment_387447 WGMG: 1. My shed, it gets so friggin hot, it is like a sauna as it is subjected to the sun the whole day. The afternoon sun shines straight in the front opening doors until it goes down. So pretty much if you want to do some work in it you have to wait until the evening. 2. Finally got some motivation to get my ke15 up and running again... In the evening last night I changed over an axle from a spare diff as the wheel bearings were rooted on one side (yes I could get new wheel bearings but couldn't be stuffed driving 3/4 of an hour each way to a decent parts joint that can get the parts I want, then having to get them pressed off/on). This evening I planned on changing over the rear wheel cylinders and putting on new shoes. Couldn't find my flare nut spanners which I haven't needed or seen in years. After 45 minutes of searching I found them, only to realise that they are IMPERIAL. :( I thought they were metric, but in hindsight now remember that I bought them when I had my old EH Holden. :) Report
