how thick is the steel for the engine mounts?

good stuff i have a mate ho bought my ke55 and he wants to do an sr20 conversion and didnt know how to make mounts, i dare say this is the way to go !! lookin good mate!

I used the same method and rubbers on my pajero, it has worked really well and creates no engine vibes through the car at all.

hmmm, there is some progress, but not alot.

 

My came york trip is in two weeks, i have spent the last 2 months preparing for it, practically re-building my camper trailer, and also some serious work to the pajero.

 

my welder died today, so not happy.

Is that like a M6 bolt holding the engine up thru the mounts ? bit on the small side don't you think....

thanks for the tip champ, the other side had a lead pencil in it, thinking about changing that too.

 

Finally pulled my finger out and got the cage mod plated today. 4 seats still too.

 

was wanting to get my seats done at the same time, but can't find the time to do the seats.

Wow that is alot going on under there like a novel, I have 6 on 1 plate,

 

seems engineers today will only have two seats, bah

did some paint today.

rear of car re-done, needed some more smoothness than previous

rocker cover

Repainted the section above the engine where i had to strip it back so the chassis numbers are readable.

A few other bits got some silver or green.

And most importantly the front and rear crossmembers are painted,

I can now finally put the car back on the ground, and move it to the shed.

Turbo, dump pipe, exhaust, wastegate all together for the last time.

 

 

I moved the car back in the shed now it is finally on its wheels again. A bit of a mission with just me and the missus, its an uphill into the shed.

 

 

Some cleaning up to do tomorrow if I'm going to be able to work in there at all.
