The 5 years is very possible.

 

 

A friend of mine had lots of trouble. He use to drink and drive too much, one time rolled this car, tryed to push the car back on it's wheels and then the cops showed so he tryed to run on foot with his mates.

 

 

Ended up getting 4 years ban on driving.

They treat drink driving alot worse than hooning. I was waiting to lose my licence but the previous owner of my t18 is going to cop the points and fines because he wont answer my calls or emails.

In my salad days... accumulated 27 points in 6 months.

 

Walked out of that courtroom with my licence intact, an extortionate fine, and a $2500 invoice from the lawyer.

 

Mind you, my hefty list of infringements was limited to speeding and defects. No DUI, no dangerous driving, seatbelt, etc...

 

Live and learn.... been squeaky clean ever since.

got done doing 93kays in a 100 zone............... $50 fine and 1 point.

 

 

Stupid P plate laws.... 80Kay limit lol

 

Was my first and only fine since... and I'm nearly fully licenced yay!!

Ive done so far...

 

4 points for speeding 21km over.

Went on good driving behaviour.

2 points for excessive noise (skids)

1 point for a defect.

6 month suspension.

Back on 4 points and had to start my P's again.

 

I have in lingo....

 

Speeding 12km over.

Speeding 20km over if the camera worked.

Dangerous driving.

Excessive noise.

Didnt ever get done in my ae82 twincam and ive had that the longest so i'll keep that one. I've learnt this time, So don't bitch to me.

awhile ago i had only three points left to last me practically 3 years, that taught me how to drive like a proper granny - almost watched the speedo more than the road.

Yes that car does have an aura or a charm or something on it

next door neighbor lost his license 3 times 6-12 months. Got done racing, then got done for loss of points, then after 12 hours of getting it back from loosing due to points, he got done doing doughnuts at the front of a club! A mates brother has lost his license a total of 5 times.

A guy i knew years ago had lost his for 5 years, before he was old enough to get his Open licence

Then got done repeatedly, at last count he had done 6 or 7 life (5yrs) bans that never ended........

because he would always get done before they finished

Amongst those offences there were drink driving, police chase, dangerous driving (2or3 times), hit & run and leaving an accident.

 

And he still didn't get jail until recently after getting done again just driving to work.

 

One LUCKY sob thats for sure

bad luck man, same thing happened to my mate.

 

ive had my licence for just over a year. maybe 13months, ive only got 2 points left hahaha

Thankfully I've only ever had one fine and who thought you could lose 3 points for going through a yellow traffic light. At what point is that one traffic light legal and illegal!!

57 Stopping for a yellow traffic light or arrow

(1) A driver who is approaching, or at, traffic lights showing a

yellow traffic light—

(a) must stop—

(i) if there is a stop line at or near the traffic lights and

the driver can stop safely before reaching the stop

line—as near as practicable to, and before

reaching, the stop line; or

(ii) if there is no stop line at or near the traffic lights

and the driver can stop safely before reaching the

traffic lights—as near as practicable to, and before

reaching, the nearest traffic lights; or

(iii) if the traffic lights are at an intersection and the

driver can not stop safely under subparagraph (i) or

(ii), but can stop safely before entering the

intersection—before entering the intersection; and

(b) must not proceed until the traffic lights—

(i) change to green or flashing yellow; or

(ii) show no traffic light.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(2) A driver who is approaching, or at, traffic arrows showing a

yellow traffic arrow, and turning in the direction indicated by

the arrow—

(a) must stop—

(i) if there is a stop line at or near the traffic arrows

and the driver can stop safely before reaching the

stop line—as near as practicable to, and before

reaching, the stop line; or

(ii) if there is no stop line at or near the traffic arrows

and the driver can stop safely before reaching the

traffic arrows—as near as practicable to, and

before reaching, the nearest traffic arrows; or

(iii) if the traffic arrows are at an intersection and the

driver can not stop safely under subparagraph (i) or

(ii), but can stop safely before entering the

intersection—before entering the intersection; and

(b) must not proceed until the traffic arrows—

(i) change to green or flashing yellow; or

(ii) show no traffic arrow.

Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.

(3) If the traffic lights or arrows are at an intersection and the

driver can not stop safely under subsection (1) or (2) and

enters the intersection, the driver must leave the intersection

as soon as the driver can do so safely.
