RA28GT Posted February 18, 2011 Author Report Posted February 18, 2011 Been a while since ive done anything with the celica, I'm slowly moving forward to making it a GT replica, this week i have purchased a parts car for the 5 speed and other manual gear, as well as this baby: So plans are take off road, engine, gearbox and diff swap, make custom coilovers, new front lip (old one is shit) and then drive for a while until i can afford paint. RA28GT Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 Well after sitting in a cave for 2 years I decided it was time to do a little work on my RA23. I had planned to change to an 18RG as i have a couple sitting around, but being that i just brought a house I'm seriously lacking free time. The most obvious thing is new shoes. I sold of cheap sportmax wheels and got my hands on a set of SSR MK2. 14x7.5 +6 Fronts with 185/55R14 14x8 -12 Rears with 185/55R14 Next thing I done was make up a set of coilovers, big thanks to Ryan (SLO-030) for putting them together for me. I cut 2.25" out of the strut and I'm running AW11 rear shocks which are much shorter stroke. Ride and handles amazing, Ive actually got suspension travel now! Also took the time to pull the front bumper from my parts car as my old one had a dent in the corner. Quote
RA28GT Posted November 25, 2012 Author Report Posted November 25, 2012 And for some happy snaps! Gave her a wash and went for a drive down to Pt Adelaide. Quote
silverra23 Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 Looks freaking amazing on those wheels and tyres! Quote
