Better than bare, but still not as good as paint IMO. Have you something in mind to stop the rust or are you just going to let it mellow?

When it rains whilst driving, wouldn't rusty water go everywhere?

ill let it mellow out till it becomes the colour and consistency that i like then ill chuck a clear coat ontop and see how it goes

just go to olarenshaws or jeffersons on mcintyre rd and pick up 250mls of acrylic and give it a hit then clear it they will be able to color match it

+1 for the carbon coat over everything. My KE30 had a straight out tip directly under the bumper. Paint on the rear LH Corner was always darker because of it.

Happened to my brothers ke55, melted the chrome plating and started rusting the bar within a couple of months.

It looks cool.

Expect black up the back of the car though, clean it off every second day, haha.
