greenmac80 Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 congrats on the RWC glad we don't have that in SA. although i'll be voluntarily taking mine over the pits early next year. the suede will go yellow very quickly if you don't protect it from the sun. unless you got uber expensive stuff. i had suede on my last one. Lol fair point. I imagine Broadmeadows deal with clapped out/dumped commodores on a regular basis, so are probabaly quite thorough. I could be wrong though. Congrats man, hope to see this on a few cruises. Quote
78_7kRolla Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 I took the 'Granny 55' through broady and it was no hassle. I told them that it was my first car and stuff like that. Made it out as if i was clueless and it worked. Best of luck. Quote

e70van Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 don't sweat it man. they don't look at the car at all, they just tell you to pop the bonnet and they read the vin/eng no: and walk back inside. Ive gone to vicroads with about 6 or more cars and the most anyone did was glance inside the interior and look at the drivers seatbelt! they wont even walk around the car man. Ive been to burwood, bundoora and melton vicroads. bundoora are laid back, can't speak for broady though. Quote
blktoy35 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 (edited) Bundoora seem to be more laid back .... i agree... my bro took his car there its a toyota chaser and they just check the vin & engine number.... the engine number on the 1j is stamped on the block in a awkward location we couldnt even really see it, the assesor was like yep i see it! she did walk around the car and checked the tyres..... mind you his car has coilovers and sits low as well as wheel spacers up front and a full stainless canon exhaust....i was surprised at how easy it was.... :) Edited July 21, 2010 by blktoy35 Quote
Evan G Posted July 21, 2010 Author Report Posted July 21, 2010 i made a appointment at bundoora for tuesday, my foreman was going down to bundoora to get his vechile checked over when he heard a loud banging noise, his drive shaft came out of his gearbox LOL! he kicked it back in, cleaned the mess and when through the inspection with no problems LOL Quote
