gonna test fit/chop em so they sit 2 inch lower than standerd. then off to the spring makers so than can flatten the end so they sit flat and wont fall out.

long time no update,

 

currently running eb springs in the front witch handels like a dream! go kart ftw!

 

drift racing seat installed.

 

went down to my local crow cam joint and got some prices on serious cams! $110 for escort 1600 double valve springs and $60 for a cam grind. 3 - 7500 powerband.

 

i rebuilt/balanced/ported the head and put a torquey cam with 5000rpm peak? wtf was i thinking!

 

so once i finished rebuilding the cressida diff it'll become a daily till the slut gets a cam. 10:1 compression and some portage :D

I'm in the same boat with the back lights, my old 55 tail lights look like arab crack. Did you have heaps of sealant residue on the back where the old lights were though?? still trying to get the crap off 2 months later :/

neg had no problem, just had to swap the lights with bulb holders etc etc and put bolts thru the holes

i want to do the RH wheel arch this weekend. sand it back. braze weld it. rust converter,bog, paint and maybe the other size aswell and leave the fuel filler another day

the slut will be off the road soon. kebab night will be its last outing.

 

hopefully SLO-030 will send his blower cam and a spare 4k cam next week sometime.

 

escort double valve springs. 2750 - 8000rpm cam. high compression. ported head and manifold.

 

i might send my 28/36 carby off to get rebuilt aswell.

 

rust repairs will occur in that time.

Just read the whole build and I'm very impressed!

 

I guess its hard to actually see the condition from the pictures, but the paint looks unreal! Those wheels just top it off aswell.

thanks champ, was considering selling this when i was rolling on hubcaps and whitewalls. since ive purchased the modgies from mhmills its rebirthed a spark :P. paints ok. some drips and little rust. still turns heads but its not perfect ;)bought another pair of modgies aswell from mr Kehendo :D

 

was the last drive for the slut tonight. gonna daily the cressida for a while till i do the head and cam :( sad panda

 

purchased double valve sprinsg from crow today (P/N - 4220) .520' max lift. awaiting SLO-030 to send his blower cam and my blank 4k cam over :P

nah mate, I'm located in melbourne.

 

i might pull the head/cam/lifters off the 4k on sunday but HIGHLY doubt it. would like the head/lifters at the minium :D

 

edit - there is no WAY this will be done by dyno day (11days)
