if you don't know what you are doing with diffs, take the car to a diff shop and say "please install this". you don't want to screw up your $1000 LSD.

ok guys my set up at the moment is slide able ..... welll slightly low ass on kings and thats it

 

ill be getting a zenki lsd in the next month

 

then ae86 front coils

 

would that make a noticable difference

 

is there any thing else that can be done in the front that will make it easy to slide

 

 

and for power extractors and super charger but thats later

^ Straight away get away from steering box.

 

Drop in a ke70/ ae71 engine crossmember with the rack and pinion, add a lock spacer and get your steering knuckles shortened or buy ae86 powersteering knuckles. Will be much more responsive and much more lock.

 

Get a nice bitey clutch and a drift button for your handbrake, stiff rear coils (falcon etc) and a locker

Drift button???? Why not just unscrew the knob from the end of the lever. Works in a KE20/30 to disable the handbrake ratchet and when you have finished you just screw it back in and everything works again.

because everyone knows if you buy a drift button you earn 26 extra drift points for every drift!!!

 

but seriously, a stocko 3tc isnt going to be a drift king.

 

its the same basic steps for setting up car to be controllable sideways as discussed in the previous 5 pages.

 

big spring rates, big sway bars (maybe not as big at the front), good shocks, extra lock, locked diff or LSD, and a bucket seat to hold you in.

 

heaps of front castor, good front tyres, enough height in the car so it doesn't scrape.'

 

and most of all plenty of practise.

 

in fact, forget about buying parts, get out on a track and have fun. and if its not drifting good enough, go faster.
