mumblezzz Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 (edited) Thought it would be interesting to see some rollaclub members cars transition from stock to Rock! :P I'll start with my old 86. Here we see it in its stockness glory... Well it did have the miss matched wheels goin. (taken on my 18th birthday BTW) I learnt alot about car control and had lots of fun on the way... Then tradgedy struck! I blew the 4ac. boohoo I was devestated..... really.... for about .001 of a second. So then began the rebuild with twincam power as well as a diet. fast faward a few months and it was back and ready to hit the track. A defect forced me to paint the car again to make it look half presenable and legal. So I celebrated my first track outing with the new paint job by doing this. But a mere wall would never stop me from doing what I love. So 85 bucks later it was business as usual. Until one fateful night when a camry decided it wanted to invade the same space as my sprinter and this happened. So there you have it. The hachi story. I kind of miss it now its gone even though I never showed it any respect and thrashed it within an inch of its life. Edit:I suck at linking Edited August 30, 2005 by mumblezzz
Teddy Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Farking Camry Drivers... Nice little story there Paul :P
Rolla Boy Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Damn... Looked like a pretty decent car man...

Super Jamie Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 (edited) took it to the hillclimbs once. next week it had a grand of suspension and tyres in it and i couldn't wait to get back on the track found some more wheels along the way more airflow than the stock carby helped with winding it off the speedo cars and trees don't mix 9" grinder panel removal cbf taking the engine out, just dropped the subframe and lifted the car off it with my bare hands ROAR!!! just this saturday. hiluxes are good for dragging your shell up the driveway. note the scrapes hahaha and off to make baby skylines to be continued... :P Edited August 30, 2005 by Super Jamie
ancullen Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 So are you now going to rebuild OKE-250??? [Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes...]
Super Jamie Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 the shell was a write off, so it's gone to the crusher sob as for the future, still undecided, but rest assured it will involve 1970s rear wheel drive corollas :P :rocknroll:
ancullen Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Damn, I got my hopes up then. I did think you'd said just after the accident that it was a complete write-off, but those pictures gave me a glimmer of hope. Are you planning to try and hunt down a KE10/25 or do you think you'll go a bit more common and go the KE30/35/55 route?
Super Jamie Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 well, i've bought a ke36 panelvan. stock, useful, fuel efficient, drive car now i am faced with the dilemma of modifying it, or leaving it stock and setting aside 3 grand for another ke25 and doing it properly, or just doing a ke20 which i can get for like a hundred bucks and going all out on that instead only time will tell
demuire Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Umm... Let's see. Fook gets GSR Had some fun, learnt a lot on the way And then...
ancullen Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Ouchy. What the hell happened there? Here's my story: Bought my first car. Had some real fun in her. God I love that picture. Then a prat (who I knew from school) in his parents Falcon decided not to brake hard enough behind me while I was stopped. He also decided that it wasn't a good idea to try and move into either of the completely empty lanes either side of me. And the police said that this wasn't an accident, but an incident, even though my car got written off. At least I got $5,000 for her even though I only paid $4,000. Ah, the advantages of having an uncommon car in Darwin. And now she's been resurrected and may still be being driven around, even though the axle got bent.
josh86 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 ok bought stock ae86 and one week later had 150 bux worth of wreckers suspension in and funningbegins... two weeks later in goes jap 86kw 4age ina t series diff with trd lsd for this result... $1500 funbox..... then a loss of license made me do this... so now it looks like this.... now its a fun enjoyable relaible car that goes everywhere......
Valandor Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 hang on that 86 looks familar. havent i seen in competing in the autobarn drift nationals? if it is the car then.. gotta say i love your work. and the car too, and welcome aboard and such
josh86 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 yep same car, built from scratch by me in the shed, now competes in Drift Australia series, as well as various state level DRIFT competitions. Gotta say love the site, but theres way to much anti drift sentiment here, so i'm gonna stir the porridge... LOL
05m0515 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 (edited) Oooh I'll play this game also :angrybird: So here's my car shortly after I bought her about 4 years ago sitting next to my brothers FC... Blew the motor so I swapped in a hi-comp redtop block and redid the head... Lowered her and put some SSR Colins on... Hittin events up non stop after that... Shortly before her demise... Shortly after... :D Edited September 4, 2005 by 05m0515
