WMMH - Going from using my mobile phone (4G) as a modem, ping of 50 - 60ms, 1.2mbps download & 0.5mbps upload. To this:

I've got adsl2+ with telstra and I got

 

ping=33ms

d load=2.31Mbps

u load=0.6 Mbps

 

Is that normal?

Depends how far away you are from the exchange.

Whats an exchange? hahaha I chose telstra brisbane for the location thing.

You should be getting the highest speed available on your local lines with an ADSL2+ package ... Luke must be in an area close to a major city that has better lines?

 

I'm in a hole of a suberb that has terrible lines and no plan to upgrade as yet (can't get internet tv :( )... can't wait for the NBN to hit us!

we are on adsl2+ and we are about 8ks from the exchange and only connect at around 5mbs.

 

my parents live 1km from the same exchange and connect at 19mbs :(
