HEKTIC Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 (edited) Just wondering about your thoughts on rims for a KE70 corolla. In your opinions would you like something thats old school ie challengers or hotwires or Something thats new like Concept 5's or RS5's or would you go for the dished dori drift wheels like Konig rewindes or Watanabes? the reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to make my mind up. I'd like some dish but no more than an inch and i will have a budget of around $1500 for rims and tyres id also prefer to by new and id prefer either 15's or 16's thanks, John Edited September 9, 2006 by HEKTIC Quote

CUCUY Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 always go with watanabe rims....they are pimp :P Quote
casey Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 sorry john had to do this these are my favorites that you probable don't like Quote
cuzzo Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 i don't see whats so good about the wantanabes?? everyone to their own i guess. Quote
HEKTIC Posted September 9, 2006 Author Report Posted September 9, 2006 yea I'm leaning towards some new school type rims, watanabes look good on ae86's and drift cars but is it really worth the money for a ke70? (konig rewindes go for $250 a corner plus tyres plus postage) Quote
anastasios Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Go have a look at the ke70s on 86 driving club and then ull make up ur mind that watanabes are the rim to get, but not the style u have in that pic, get then with dish. Quote
towe001 Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Yeah something with a touch of dish, but no bigger then a 15" Maybe 16's but anything over that just looks plainly stooped My thoughts anywhat Quote
HEKTIC Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 Go have a look at the ke70s on 86 driving club and then ull make up ur mind that watanabes are the rim to get, but not the style u have in that pic, get then with dish. yea i know the ones you meen that was just the only good link i could find Quote
HEKTIC Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 ooh and i almost forgot, i will get the quotes when the time comes but does anyone know the rrp for a set of 16" lenso rs5's? Quote
Raven Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Rewinds or Watanabes :P Thats my choice. And DISH! Quote
Des Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 challengers are the shit if they have some decent negative offset. :P Quote
HEKTIC Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 I'm thinking rs5's because they have a little dish and they look good. I found a package price of around $1500aus (converted from pounds) that included 4wheels, 4 performance tyres and nuts etc. the only problem with that is the fact that $1500 is double the price of the car I'm looking at Quote
