Bit of an update whilst in the midst of my HSC haha!! Coil overs! AE86 to KE10 knuckle Managed to get a Car hoist for an absolute Bargain! Bought some extractors Knocked up a manifold Got the Carbys on, Need to fix the manifold and change a few bits and pieces.. 40mm spacer in the carby aswell Coming together... Cars changed abit.... I've found some rust and cut it all out. Going to paint the car in Porsche Mexico blue, dumped on 14x7 4x110 SSR Meshies I found cheap in Japan :)
  3. Yeah still fit lol
  4. Saab 900 Chaser rim.
  5. Yeah swearing loosens it up!
  6. I believe they are pressed in standard. Wouldn't have a clue what camry, although there aren't to many. I'd assume a press would be the easiest way, although i'm sure if it was in a vice with a big screw driver and a big hammer it'd come out!!!!
  7. Spectrum Rubbers - Dunheaved in Sydney can get them. I use it on my KE10 and I'm very happy with it. They are great quality and they seal perfectly... although expensive. I think it was about $45 for a boot rubber from memory
  8. More photos of the KE10 PLEASE :)
  9. I personally want to see it like this... Low with steel wheels and chrome trim rings. Nomnom
  10. Hey luke, I can't tell if theres a 25mm overlap on the tunnel. there needs to be a 25mm overlap between any surface that's getting joined, e.g. where the tunnel starts to get bigger for the bell housing and the engine boxed bit.. I hope you did it!
  11. Well as you all know I'm doing my HSC in a few weeks... been studying so not much has been happening with car's. But I have been in contact with Luke or Driftfreak as he calls himself and we have been helping each other somewhat in regards to engineering, ideas etc. Anywhoo I am basically waiting to hear from Luke with news from engineer's, concerning the cross member. It's either KE20 with a rack of some description attached to it OR KE10 with again a rack and single LCA brackets OR a KE70 crossmember like i've already prototyped. If I was to keep the KE70 one, I'd grab another cross member and box it up like SAM-Q has done with his TA22 R&P conversion kits.... Suspension wise, I have got my hands on AE86 struts.. I'm going to go down the Civic Disc, Rx7 caliper and some sort of a coil over sleeve kit. I plan on shortening the gearbox, instead of cutting the KE10 body... although, I probably will end up cutting it since... the car's not exactly unmodified anymore so might just save the coin and chop the body abit more as we have all seen from Lukes pic ( Central Cross brace on floorpan is in the way of the gearbox ) Anyway... Today I had to move the car into the other garage because a family member moved out of the Garage today and that means I have got 2 more car spots + enough room for a car hoist .... that I may be picking up on friday for free!! Anyway, just a few pictures since pictures are always nice. Transition to the new Garage! Has a FunnyCar feel to it hey, I think the smoothies up the front and with no springs in the front gives that feeling hahaha! Plates off the family car I wrote off a few weeks back... One day it will be registered haha! In a few weeks i'm a fulltime Corolla builder so I will be updating like crazy and pumping out the hours, Ciao :laff: :laff:
  12. Metal flares all the way.. bolt ons won't really suit it in my opinion.. although if you going for the full jap spec go te27 bolt ons, te27 front lip and ta22 fender mirrors... but paint it a decent colour not that green.. If you going for the dirty look, then hand roll from metal flares or use KE70 guards or anything with a nice shaped guard.. My opinion is rolled ke70 guards welded to the car and it painted that green on steelies.
  13. I have 4 spacers that I no longer use... converts 4x110 to 4x114.3...
  14. 5-8 grand if paint is immaculate and car is overrated inside and out with rego, if not 4-5 grand.. if bodys not the greatest but its running and registered 3grand and if its just a roller around $500-2500 depending on the car!

CBR600 carbs are in! Also got a spare diff, radiator, tailshaft to fit the 5 speed!! Handbrakes connected and tailshaft will be in soon but i don't really have any time at the moment since i'm studying 7-8 hours a day for HSC. Anyway... schools nearly over and that means more Corolla'ing!
  17. nope but atleast it will be fun whilst driving it!!
  18. Go get a Hilux diff shortened or a 9inch! KE10 diff centre is the size of your fist
  19. If it can't get engineered i'm putting a 13b turbo rotary into mine... atleast it will be mental to drive when I drive it
  20. This is why I think you should just go straight to a rack and pinion Luke. Theres a KE25 with a 3SGE on this forum thats done it. I have been thinking about what to do since you have already sunk a fair amount of coin into the brakes/sleevekit and I think you should adapt a KE70 rack and do what Rob's done with his KE25... Have a geeze at this and see what his done, It's deffiantly what I would be doing as a KE70 rack and pinion is easy to get, It gives you a rack and pinion, its a better system and the KE70 Steering column fits in a KE10 perfectly with no cutting and it's collapsible for engineering. I'll put a few links up of what i'm talking about. Robs KE25 R&P conversion Thats what a KE70 steering column looks like in a 10 This ones straight from Declan, His got the standard KE10 cross member, made some plates and his using ke70 LCAs with custom knuckles. I think you should keep everything you got, but adapt a KE70 Rack&pinion to what you got now. It really would not be that hard!! These are some of my pics.. Basically I got the KE70 steering column and removed everything off it. I am going to keep the standard KE10 blinker set up as I don't like the look of a ke70 one in a ke10. Basically i just unscrewed the ignition lock and I'm going to machine up an allow piece that replaces the ignition lock Like so.... Anyway, Something to think about.... Catchya!!

I knew I would find Cancer in it... I had been going over the entire car with a fine tooth and comb... I was digging everywhere. Found some hehe!! Cut out Both sills had a little bit Inner patch is done and the little bit on the end of the guard lip has been fixed and sealed up. Just need to patch the outer bit although I'm going to borrow a tool off a friend to do a neater job hahah! Catchya!!
  22. I would totally hang that up in my bedroom.. you know what... I'm on the hunt for one now hahahaha!
  23. just pull the dash out, check all your earths with a multimeter. Most likely an earthing problem
